Fusco's character evolution is one of the best things this show has ever done. I've always liked him but he was a dirty cop who tried to kill Reese. Now I'm sure he could sacrifice himself for anyone.
Ikr, one of the best Character development in the history of tv.
I always look him as a useless and funny guy, but he did change
I thought Fusco was great from the get-go. And his redemption arc is one of the best I've ever seen.
This series could have been called "The Redemption of Lionel Fusco"
@@drezdogge There was one episode where a woman scornfully called him Detective Fiasco LMAO
Kevin Chapman is an incredibly underrated actor. He was Emmy-nomination worthy in this episode.
Lauren Rogers
I totally agree.
Awesome performance
Agree, he was so good
Yeah he was cut out for that role. Excellent casting. And I'm surprised JC took the role of Reese, he's a die-hard cathaholic and pacifist, he played Jesus Christ in Passion of the Christ.
I forget that there's just enough darkness in Fusco to make him a badass as well cause of the good work John and company did on him. I keep forgetting he wasn't JUST there for comic relief...can you imagine the look of horror on that psychiatrist's face when he realized what he was hearing? lol
Fusco is under-appreciated. Played off for laughs as the comic relief but it such a solid guy. Team Machine kept him in the dark for so long and was still always there for them.
That consolidated the fact that Fusco was doing the right thing because he enjoyed it and had grown to have a deep respect for Reese and Carter, not because of some higher purpose (machine). So I think it was intentional that he was let in the loop as late as possible. It was the way of telling the audience Fusco was still on the right path.
I always felt this added a layer to how he became a diry cop. Not out of greed or a power trip but by watching too many guys walk over technicalities or connections or high priced lawyers. Probably what John saw and why he let him live.
I've witnessed this in real life. My coworker is so sick and tired of "professional homeless" is what he calls them. Under 40 men who are physically capable who just go from store to store stealing everything they can, drunk off their ass, high on fent. He told this one guy he's just gonna call the cops and tell them he has a weapon if he comes in our store again.
fuscos smirk tho after he got confirmation everything hes gonna tell is confidential. fucking brilliant scene, thxn for uploading.
What i like about this is, even if Fusco is shown to be a dirty cop at the beginning, this shows that he in a way is a man of honor and possesses some Morals.
He didn't shoot the Guy out of personal gain or something, he did it to right a wrong. The Guy shot a Rookie off duty and the Justice System failed by letting him walk free. Lionel in this instance functioned as the necessary evil, he balanced the scales.
The NYPD Phychologist thought he was in control of this mandatory post-incident interview... until HE WASN'T. 😐
You see a pattern with the characters in POI. They all have something that normal people would call unusual or may call them “crazy” because they’re misunderstood people. I just love the character development in this show. Probably the best character development in a show from the past 5 years. Hands down
Every so often I like to come back to this scene and recite the lines. Fusco is so badass.
I miss this show a lot.
This was an amazing scene. Fusco could have been his own show, really. What a complicated character. Great writing. Great acting!
No matter how many times I watch this scene, I cannot get over how powerful it is, how perfectly it is written, the way it really builds Fusco's character.
This is my favorite episode of the series and it is filled with amazing scenes
Well said. So many things culminate in this episode. Root was amazing... next level thinking, at its best.
Mine too
Especially the Johnny Cash scene
This was one of the most chilling, darkest scenes ever! Fusco is one of the best characters on the show. If you haven't watched this show, I STRONGLY recommend watching it! You won't be disappointed. I'm on my 4th time watching it. I've never watched a show this many times. That should tell you a whole lot right there.
Best ever opening to a TV show and possibly the most memorable 4 minutes of TV (fiction)
Alright so everyone goes “goo goo eyed” for the Elias and Simmons scene later in the show
(With good reason)
But I think this is our high water mark for Fusco too. To see so starkly where he came from and how much he has grown… Kevin did a fantastic job playing a layered character without any of us realizing just how complex he was until this moment.
Kudos to you sir!
This was epic 😮 gave me goosebumps when he told hes story of the DEVILS SHARE
turned fusco from sideman to main character energy for meee made me love him even more
Now someone get that man a raise.
GREAT SCENE!
Thanks, I've been waiting for someone to upload this clip since the air date.
Good Lord that was DARK AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!
0:51 Great acting. The flash of anger when saying the guy's name. Even before he explains it you can see how Fusco feels about it.
Scenes like this are what put Fusco above other "not the main duo" characters in these things
the smirk at 1:48 though.
2:40 even better
Fusco's greatest strength has always been his loyalty.
I like it how when Fusco admits the murder the doctor is more bothered by it haha
Fusco is the best he went from a dirty cop trying to kill Reese to meeting glasses and coca puffs
Like the Elmo Blatxh scene in Shawshank redemption...bloody, chilling and pitch perfect . Lionel brings it and the some. So underestimated an actor. Of course this episode is chock full of excellent performances.
Few shows have ever had a character develop so amazingly as Lionel Fusco.
I just love this scene. Kevin is amazing!
Fusco is badass.
Chapman portrayed Fusco very well. Through the seasons, he became a better man. But his darker past allowed him to be a vigilante.
Hank Voight would be proud!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤One of the best scene😢
"Evens things out". Fucking right...
The best episode ever of person of interest
Fusco is the king.
Awesome episode, the title "Devil's Share" is Very appropriate.
Many of the episode titles are like that.
The title of the last episode: "return 0"
In some programming languages a return value of 0 means that everything went well.
But good drug dealers can afford the D.A. Fusko meant to say
I love the despondent "the what?.."
what a badass
As much as I like this scene, I wish someone would upload Finch's scene. That was some amazing writing, there
Right? I have been looking for his own.
Just beautiful
"Sleep like a baby" is a misnomer; actual babies sleep in fits and wake up crying and screaming all the time.
I agree, watch this fucking show. I binged it as soon as I came home from my friends place after he made me watch the pilot. Seen it 3 times I think, but still no the last parts. I have been saving that
The way every drug dealer, burglar, and rapist should be treated.
Go Fusco!!!
That's some honesty for you
barely blinks...
While I have read the many comments I feel the urge to add my own as a person who has been on the fringes of certain types of non standard groups let me make this non specific statement the Italians the Russians, the Greeks and all other groups have very specific codes of conduct to step outside of these things is to be a person of standards. These groups would consider a person of this nature...disgraceful that is to say a man without honor
Some would call it karma Foscos actions.
Is that Walter Resdin from csi Miami lol
Fusco really was g … he had ballz …. Maybe a bit stupid at times but he had heart
Badass as all hell.
Fusco was the most notorious
Didn't know where the Devil's Share part came in. Got to the end and there it was...went to hit LIKE and I'm number 666...
I really wished they would of went in a different direction with this show.. Great show!!
How? I agree s1/2 were god tier with s3 just slightly below . S4/S5 were good but not but not great they sidelined Reese and made him at as a compelling and his dynamic with Finch was also put to the side. S4/S5 had amazing concepts ( two AI's, theme of death, biochips making sleeper agents easy or can maniupalte your mind and make u like venom snake) In additon S4/S5 were rushed due to CBS not making much money, Warner Bros made most of the mula.
I am intrested in what direction you wish POI went!
I can think of someone else who got the devils share. George Floyd.
So some petty crime is exactly the same as murdering someone, and completely justifies a cop putting a knee on a person's neck for 10 minutes until they die? Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you?
Also, at the end of the episode he arrests the guy who killed his partner without killing him, what a way to miss the goddamn point.
