my 2001's are still wearable, I keep them in ziplocs with silica packs in plastic bins, keeping them in the box absorbs the left over moisture of the shoe especially if the paper is left in it. Also Its polyurethane what the midsole consists as well. I been collecting J's since 1999. Even got my degree in history cause I wanted to know everything about everything and now I do.

Dope vid as usual man. Buying a lightly worn pair is the best advice you gave. Shoes are meant to be worn and broken in. When you sit em in a box, all wrapped up, brand new, they really become stale, like bread. I acquired OG 14s, 13s, and 11s over the past couple years. All were worn, and I wear them too. I had to re-glue the 11s, but that's nothing. No other problems so far, and I wear each once every few weeks. Also, switching out the insole for a thicker insole may help. Less stress on the shoe. Seems to slow midsole paint cracking too.
I have a soleswap vid on these. I just replaced the tabs myself on both. Definitely fixable

I just got 00' Black infrared 6s. Love em. Wore em today, still 100% wearable only a tiny bit of sole separation on the toe box. Great shoe

+YellowMisanthropist the previous owner said he wore them everyone and a while for special occasions throughout their lifetime. This hardens then sole and is better for the shoe and ultimately makes it wearable on the original sole for a lot longer

Yeah man my cherry 12's from 07 had some glue seperation all I could do at that time was say damn 7 years of rocking but luckly ot wasnt to bad and I was able to just put them back together but I know how I was feeling after that I know im going to be pissed when the sole starts to straight up crumble

Been wearing my jordans now for 9 years , went trough 3 pairs of laces and they went in the washing machine like 5 times or so. Without any major damage and they still fire. These shoes r timeless bra

Totally over 10 years is when they will crumble just make sure you wear them a lot to prevent crumbling

Just glue them together using the same sole, you shouldn't need a whole sole swap they're not like the 3s or 4s

I got a 2004 Playoffs 12 used condition 7/10 when I started wearing 2-3 times, it started midsole separation on some parts. So I reglued the necessary spots with a cement adhesive and now it's still okay but I don't wear it a lot because I'm scared it might fall apart and new separation will come (the ones that I did not do before) and now it's completely wearable. Then just purchased a 2003 Flint 12's in a VNDS condition I don't know the physical yet because it's just on its way. Hopefully it does not fall apart that quick than the Playoffs.

11s have different materials. they wont crack on you homes
Nick Young you do have to worry about the air bag, they deteriorate. Shake the shoes and if you hear crumpled plastic pieces in them, you'll need to swap out the air bags or they'd be uncomfortable. But luckily for you, 2000 retro 11s do hold up strong so dont lose hope

about 98% of my ogs are wearable. all my og 14s are wearable. of course that's only 17 years but back then nike only guaranteed a 7 year life for sneakers. ogs ARE wearable if you wear with care. There's a lot of factors. if anyone wants to continue this discussion or cares about why i say they're wearable i'll go into detail.

I have a issue with my jordan 2 chicagos the crease so bad any way to fix it
Yeah, stuff the toe box with something sturdy, I suggest newspaper or cardboard paper. Then dampen a cloth, make sure there's water in it but not a dripping amount. Then place that dampened cloth over the creased area and iron them. I do this pretty often so i know it works.
After you get the creases out, I dont own any personally but alot of people suggest shoe shields to help protect against that when wearing. I think that's an unnecessary purchase since they're shoes and it's kinda meant to happen. I store all my shoes with paper in the toebox and I put it back in the shoes after every wear and it pushes out the days creases as well as prevents new ones. I know that's alot to read but i had this problem years ago and this is what i've learned since then.

It’s only 5 6 years old. 4’s tend to crumple earlier. Anything with a the exposed air unit. I have all the 2001 Jordan 11’s that released and they’re still mint and wearable. But I do throw them on and step in them just to keep the midsole used to compression so when I wanna wear them out they won’t crumble.

depends on how much you like the shoe honestly. and Michael is right, i'd check facebook, craigslist, solecollector, kixify etc. and see average pricing or if you can catch a better deal and go from there

Tillus Ott 10 to 12 years before they come apart if you wear them here and there they will be fine but like literally wear them u can't run u can't hoop u can't jog in them just wear them out to eat or something clean them from upper to the bottoms and put them back in the box in a dark air conditioned room with no light u will be fine

They lost a lawsuit because they're soles weren't biodegradable, so now that's why we have soles that crumble and they're more comfortable than solid rubber.
