Not classically trained so don't know the notes, but from the 6th note of Eddys 'solo' at 16:21 and onwards is the most metal thing I've heard ever. Please make a separate video where this solo serves as the core, I'm so sad you didn't finish it!
for the person who composed the last piece~ as someone who is madly in love with Hollow Knight OST, i just want to say you FREAKING NAILED IT~! ! ! ^-^
fun fact: the hollow knight devs and composer are based in australia, too. another fun fact: the game's ost actually pushes the piano and viola(!!!) as a center point in the score, as stated by the composer, christopher larkin
That last piece gave me such a bubbly feeling. I was shocked, amazed, in awe, then bretts solo had me like 😲 then was belly laughing with them both because eddy XD i could hear where eddy was trying to go too it wouldve been so badass if he pulled it off lol i really do feel like they should practice some solos and give it another go for us! There's so much trust between each other to get the 5/8 rhythm right and to turn the pages etc. - you can tell they've had a lot of experience playing together and/or are just super musical :)
I think it is because the melody (ish line that Eddy plays and then Brett repeats in a different key) sounds like the Intro music to Sherlock the BBC version, at least to me.... 15:09 to 15:30 not completely the same but similar enough

My favorite one. 9:58 Wonky Thing: loved the Ravel's Bolero inspiration! 14:17 The Four String Dance: it was like telling a story that ended in a battle. Very epic.
This might be tricky though, since I'm guessing royalties will be involved, and figuring out how much to pay each composer for every album sold is probably not worth the trouble 🥲
All the compositions were stunning. The four strings dance was so beautiful that i was in awe till it ended. Like i felt i was a main character in an adventurous novel while listening to it.
That BFF piece hit me really hard for some reason. It reminded me of one of my closest friends who moved away just a few months ago. She and I both loved our instruments, and one of the first things that brought us together was TwoSet. Watching them play this duet surfaced a lot of absolutely wonderful memories! I know people say this a lot, but the TwoSet community is so talented and I am so happy to be a Ling Ling Wannabe!
No one will probably read this, but I just want to thank you guys. Your videos really help to calm down myself on a really shitty day. The music spreads so much joy and thanks to you I really learned to appreciate playing violin and classical music in general. So big thank you to you, who keep producing new videos to enjoy. (also I really love this type of video, the compositions are just stunning c:)
I REALLY love how the parts play together right at 8:04, the octave jump is played so well together, the parallel motion works so well, the octave jump gives it a nice tone without being in unison. I don't know what words to use to describe it other than just that it's so well done.
Tbh the funniest thing to me would be to send in a piece in alto clef just to watch them suffer trying to decipher it like I have to do with so many treble clef pieces.
I have to say, props to the person inspired from hollow knight. As a 15 year old inspired to create and code a videogame i can only hope to have such awesome music in my games.
Shoutout to MusicSounds for making them sing while playing! I love the melody of BFF and I think Yanu was taking a Jordon approach. The Four Strings Dance sounds like a game OST as well The community is just so brilliant that I sometimes felt bad for being ordinary LOL

Not classically trained so don't know the notes, but from the 6th note of Eddys 'solo' at 16:21 and onwards is the most metal thing I've heard ever. Please make a separate video where this solo serves as the core, I'm so sad you didn't finish it!
That high vibrato sounds like one in a guitar that's why
for the person who composed the last piece~
as someone who is madly in love with Hollow Knight OST, i just want to say you FREAKING NAILED IT~! ! ! ^-^
I see what you did there. Lol
Brett nailed his solo! Gadamn
fun fact: the hollow knight devs and composer are based in australia, too. another fun fact: the game's ost actually pushes the piano and viola(!!!) as a center point in the score, as stated by the composer, christopher larkin
Nailed it 🙃
I think Brett and Eddie should do a "react to Hollow Knight OST", similar to Alex Moukala reacting to it recently!
The four strings dance was one of the best things I've ever heard.
It was definitely my favourite of these pieces
My fav one
imagine a whole quartet instead of 2 violins
Brett and Eddy singing in bubble tea wltz is a biggest deal here..Their voice actually nice..I love that!!
It was my favourite part of this video; them singing and laughing and playing, that to so well I enjoyed it!
I saw that part and was like “how long has Brett been able to sing?”
15:52 holy hell this sounds so damn good. i wish i could compose something like that
That last piece gave me such a bubbly feeling. I was shocked, amazed, in awe, then bretts solo had me like 😲 then was belly laughing with them both because eddy XD i could hear where eddy was trying to go too it wouldve been so badass if he pulled it off lol i really do feel like they should practice some solos and give it another go for us! Brett definitely has to keep that first solo though ! :D
Brett's solo left both me and Eddy pretty shooketh! XD
3:55 can we just appreciate their singing? LIKE THAT HAS NO AUTO TUNE GUYS THAT IS FREAKING AWESOME.
I super agreee omygoshhh!!!!
PLUS the emotions, so touching
A BBT lover singing about not getting BBT, u gonna get some emotions........
It was beautiful 😍😄
You do understand that everyone that goes to conservatory is forced to practice their singing? It's required for ear training, and communal choir practice is very common in conservatory. Everyone has to take that. From instrument students, to composition students, etc.
There's so much trust between each other to get the 5/8 rhythm right and to turn the pages etc. - you can tell they've had a lot of experience playing together and/or are just super musical :)
The last one was like a Sherlock's soundtrack but more virtuoso, especially the beginning and the solo
I was about to write that too😂
There was certainly some Sherlock main theme mixed up in there 😂😂
help i can't unhear it now-
@@strayquokka9117 lmaooo I'm so sorry
I think it is because the melody (ish line that Eddy plays and then Brett repeats in a different key) sounds like the Intro music to Sherlock the BBC version, at least to me.... 15:09 to 15:30 not completely the same but similar enough
I can imagine the cashier and the customer at the bubble tea! bubble tea?! bubble tea!! part with their hands in the air in that burning elmo pose just rejoicing for bubble tea lol
The bubble tea piece sounds cool, like a piece in musical drama! The rest are just as amazing
Oh wow I got on the thumbnail I'm honoured
Edit: oh god I wasn't intending you to sing it I'M SORRY
mama mia is it the real legend MusicSounds that composed the Bubble Tea Waltz
thanks for letting us see them singing
All twosetters thank you! 🙏
You did great!!! 😁 Thanks for letting us hear them sing! 👍👍👍
It was a fun twist AHAHAHAH
hihu
To Rafael Medina: you've made me listen to hollow's night OST. At least from my perspective, your composition is way better. Keep up your good work.
Thank you so much for your kind words. So appreciate it. From Raphy's mom
Yeah! I want to hear the recording version of her composition. It so awesome
@@daisymedina2834 please is there a way to get a hold of the sheet music for that? It sounds amazing and looks so fun to play
@@Racoonma392 Hi. I'll ask Raphy to send you a copy. Thanks❤️
@@daisymedina2834 she should create a youtube channel ! She's so talented oml💟
I still can't forget Alex LaMotte's countryside rigadoon. I like the string orchestra version so much!! I hope he's doing well.
THANK YOU SOMEONE FOR MENTIONING HIM!!! Nobody can beat his piece so far- he was absolutely exceptional! I didn't hear any piece more than once except for his- his sparked something so different that isn't explainable in words. Please please submit more fan compositions Alex Lamotte!
@@chaitrajogiraju1749 could you provide a link to that video please?
@@ThoughtSP95 he has a youtube channel too, called "Alex LaMotte" and the video is titled as "Countryside Rigadoon ~ Alex LaMotte" :)
@@Ingrid-gb9nz thank you!
Same!!! I just finished this and am heading to that video to listen to them play Alex’s piece again.
BFF was so on point. In was beautiful and harmonious just like a friendship should be
0:23 Tango for a New Arrival: a Ghibli-ish Mario Bros flute theme. Lovely.
3:09 Bubble Tea Waltz: That opera had more drama than The Queen of the Night.
6:20 Ticking Pizzicato Run: felt like a little and fun walk around small italian streets.
7:23 BFF: When you start remembering all the good moments you lived with a loved one. My favorite one.
9:58 Wonky Thing: loved the Ravel's Bolero inspiration!
14:17 The Four String Dance: it was like telling a story that ended in a battle. Very epic.
Wouldn't it be a nice thing if TwoSet will release an album playing fan compositions?
Who agrees? Please reply below.
yes! i need that!
This might be tricky though, since I'm guessing royalties will be involved, and figuring out how much to pay each composer for every album sold is probably not worth the trouble 🥲
@@fyerra It's just an idea. But I understand your reasoning since it would be like that at some possibilities.
i’ll sign
nice
What is on everybody’s minds: PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE
Ticking pizzicato run is no big deal for Brett, cuz he's perfect pizz boi
Yessir
That tango by Gus Tredwell is amazing! Could be a movie theme, so beautiful.
Oh, and sry for my English, I'm not a native speaker😅
@@aryasparkes7483 your English is great!

@@aryasparkes7483 If I ever learn to speak a foreign language as well as your written English I will be very pleased with myself! 👏🙂
@@ThoughtSP95 It certainly is!
I REALLY love how the parts play together right at 8:04, the octave jump is played so well together, the parallel motion works so well, the octave jump gives it a nice tone without being in unison. I don't know what words to use to describe it other than just that it's so well done.
Late to the get but BFF had such a friendly feeling to it. What a beautiful piece.
Tbh the funniest thing to me would be to send in a piece in alto clef just to watch them suffer trying to decipher it like I have to do with so many treble clef pieces.
That pizz. part on the 5/8 piece, if rehearsed properly, would be amazing. With drums and a bass behind too. Yes.
I have to say, props to the person inspired from hollow knight. As a 15 year old inspired to create and code a videogame i can only hope to have such awesome music in my games.
Good luck bro
Shoutout to MusicSounds for making them sing while playing!
I love the melody of BFF and I think Yanu was taking a Jordon approach. The Four Strings Dance sounds like a game OST as well
The community is just so brilliant that I sometimes felt bad for being ordinary LOL
I'm crying - how do you manage to sight read SO WELL?
The tango is absolutely gorgeous - Piazzolla would be pleased. ❤️ Made me cry a little bit. So emotional, especially knowing the context! That baby is so lucky!
Bubble tea waltz (2:36) was so funny with brett and eddy singing along as they played 🤣 And BFF (7:10) sounded so sweet!! 👌🥺💖
I wish that Twoset would continue their fan composition episodes, because a lot of composers out there (including me XD) would consider it as their wildest dreams come true if Brett and Eddy played their music :)
Yeah me too, I guess my composition was too simple, but I wish they would play it someday ( also some baroque sarabandes were really simple too🤭)
yeahh im still waiting good luck to both of us!
@@pyotrilyich3559 I don’t know honestly
@@pyotrilyich3559 i think you just posted it on reddit
@@pyotrilyich3559 if you do tho you have to be lucky getting them to play it.
I was annoyed as I had a Physics exam the week they announced that they would be accepting fan compositions so I couldn't write anything, but it is so fun to see everyone else's compositions.
How did you know about the announcements. I didn't know or informed this at all dude.
I thought they would discontinue these series
Wow these where all amazing, very talented people for sure. I felt like "Wonky Thing" at some parts sounded similar to some Legend of Zelda music, pretty fun, clever piece and for sure wonky.
It's weird but I feel so proud of every composer that submit their pieces !!! You all are so talented, please keep composing and filling the entire world with amazing music
Time stamps💕
00:00-00:10 introduction

I've had a rather stressful day today, and it was so heartwarming to hear the first piece... almost felt like tomorrow can possibly be a better day. Would love to hear the full version
It was a really touching piece, I hope the composer finishes and publishes it
15:48 Prime moment of their orchestral history. They are still excessively breathing even though they aren't even wind players lmao
Not necessarily. As a pianist I was similarly taught to breathe too. Just helps with the phrasing, regardless of the instrument you're playing.
Also the breathing acts as a cue when to hit the note because they were playing together. Kinda like when a conductor takes a sharp breath before the first note hits.
@@paperiehouse interesting
It helps them stay in time with each other without looking at each other also I do this even though I’m a pianist
not rlly, i breathe right before playing even tho i'm percussion
"BFF" has me crying literally
All of the pieces are beautiful but the BFF one is really emotional!
This is such a friendly and enthusiastic way for people to genuinely share their work with their peers. We are reminded once again that we are, indeed, proud to be Twosetters.
It’s been 4 days and I’m still not over the first piece!!!!🥺🥺😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩it’s so beautiful, warm, and loving unconditionally. Even tho I’ve never been a mother before but i can absolutely tell that this is what motherhood feels like
Ikr such a great piece
as a mom and classical violinist i confirm
I really liked BFF a lot especially the part at 8:50 the melody was so good 👌 kind of sounded like a part of a really sad scene in a movie
The BFF got me in tears T-T I felt the friendship
i love that violin is one of those instruments that you can't stay still for. every violinist i have ever seen has be swaying side to side or rocking back and forth
Wonky Thing sounded like a mix of Nintendo scores and Andrew Bird. That was great!
It diiiiid
4:09 Brett singing and playing at the same time is actually pretty good
Awww Brett is so adorkable matching his facial expressions in the Bubble Tea waltz scene! The only time he has that much array of facial expressions as opposed to his resting dead face
And the Golden Globe for best actor goes to...
I love seeing Brett's facials 🥰
And that HEH at 3:33 was totally unexpected!!
I absolutely LOVE rafael medina's piece like hello???? Keep up that was genuinely amazing and I was just SO pumped during it amazing
I love the contrast with Tango. One is more energetic, befitting a child; and the other is calmer, almost patient, befitting a mother’s love.
0:27 Look Eddy counting trying to not miss his entry. Glad to see there are still people in this world that count…
i love how this video is a flex for twoset's playing and also a flex for twosetters' composition skills lol
Thank you Twoset violin. This shall be considered a birthday gift. Now 38 yrs old. 🇵🇭🙋♂️👌
The four strings one reminded me of Sherlock a bit near the beginning I swear it was nearly the same melody
Omg yes, you put my feelings into words
the first one was absolutely gorgeous, especially four string dance! both were composed so beautifully and performed by two people with amazing talent! everyone who was featured, including twoset themselves, has a gift that they are so humbly sharing with people. keep up the great work, guys!
BFF made me low-key cry a bit towards the end of them playing. I love how they switch from playing the main melody, as if showing support to one another, and when they harmonize, it's like them being in sync with each other. I really like it.
I love how the main theme starts with the notes B F# F#... literally spelling out BFF! And how Eddy played BFF just before they started playing! 😍
Thank you for this episode. It feels so good knowing that there’s space on the Internet where real talent is appreciated. Cheers to Brett, Eddy, and the team. Sending love from India
