After a super typhoon hit our town, my kids and I went back home after a month of staying in an evacuation area.. We started rebuilding our lives without anything because our things were destroyed and also stolen.. It was one of the great decisions I made, although surrounded by trash and debris from all our neighbor's destroyed houses.. There was strong hope that God would carry us in rebuilding our lives.. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I volunteered in Schrot in the 2014 and there wasn't bomb shelters much or very many it was very soon after the war. Rockets were fired all the time but it wasn't supposed to be war. There's not enough time to get to shelter after sirens go off. Glad to hear they have shelters. That town is so close to Gaza it's so dangerous. I personally wouldn't go back there to live.

For shure Israel instaled many "Iron Downs" in Sderot, making the place much more secure. I would go back.
It was on the Gov to protect them in the 1st place. So they should continue to give them the option to stay in a hotel UNTIL they feel safe. Also for those that choose to return to their home should be allowed to be armed.( as someone mentioned)They have went through so much trauma and loss. It should def be their personal choice. And if need be continue to subsidized. Some of these people are widowers and widows with children.

I think I'd want to go back home, but definately not without 24-hour guards and lookouts! - I have to ask, will these people be returning to their homes where murders took place? I'm sorry if that was worded badly, but I'm thinking of the PTSD that these people may experience. It's so sad. I can't imagine the horrible memories they must be experiencing.

At 2:40 Hear the sound of the new ambulance siren. It was adopted in order to avoid the confusion with air raid sirens that came with the old one. Because of the decades of rocketing from Gaza it is commonplace in Sderot for the locals to leave their front doors open for the passersby to find immediate refuge. For years the citizens of the south have pleaded with the government to deal with the rocketing but that had fallen on deaf ears and few rockets a week is just back to the already intolerable pre 7/10 situation.
I would not go back until I knew that hamas was completely done away with by the IDF.
If the Palestinian people would recognise that this sad situation is caused by HAMMAS ,this war would be over in days!

Arm every household in kibbutzims and towns near the border. At least give the people living there a fighting chance or a chance to fight seeing how the army failed to respond on time. Those citizens have been part of the army at one time or other anyway. Most if not all male adults in Switzerland keep their service rifles or their rifles when they were still in service at home.

Its not a bad news that Hamas rejected the proposal, it was probably obvious answer especially since Sinwar is the only one left in charge.
Israel went to great length to accept the premise of this proposal.
I think this proposal does not make sense and only Biden administration and other leftist government are too blind or stupid to see how bad it is .
The question is what Kamala team (assuming she will take lead on this bec of her campaign) will push for now ? She might push Israel to unitarily cease fire and withdraw.
