10 weeks since I fell from a worktop,fractured all 10 fixed ribs right side plus double fractures of same 10 ribs,15 fractures in all.At 72 yrs of age I have recovered some 90% ,rest and pain killers helped.. you will get better !!

Usually it takes few weeks ! the main factor is how good your diet is and is there any disease you are suffering from so it depends on few factors

after three months still my chest is sore and tender sleeping on that side hurts sometimes but nerver faced any pain in deep breathing it got better but still some discomfort whaat is the maximum time tenderness soreness may lie

You have to firstly get your xray done to see how severe the fractures is and accordingly you need to have a cast ... Usually 3 to 4 weeks cast is prescribed and you can't move the joint... Later physiotherapy is prescribed to heal and get the motion back
Avoid the movements at site if fracture ... You need to keep that in immobilisation phase

Just don't put body weight on the fractured side and take rest in that position in which you feel less pain or no pain

In some serious rib fracture there is possible damage of internal organs, nerves, or blood vessels. The sharp end of a displaced broken rib may puncture the lung and ends up hurting that also leads to difficult breathing. Eg. Pneumothorax
Which bone is fracture and severity of injury is also important for finding diagnosis

@@staytight6340 I'd say, prepare for a solid 7-10 days of misery. Would recommend getting used to sleeping in a comfy chair like a lazyboy since lying down and getting up from a bed is excruciatingly painful.
What I'll never forget was getting cramps around the fractures... the pain was seriously horrible. 🤯
