Discover A Simplified Approach to Master the Complexity of Anatomy with me, Dr. David Morton ... The Noted Anatomist!
------------------------------------------------------------------
The feeling of understanding medical concepts that you’ve been struggling with for a long time is unmatched, thank you! much love and respect
Damn, imagine having a teacher like that, wouldn’t miss a class

You are the best there is in anatomy teaching on UA-cam. Keep doing what you are doing man👏🙏
Thanks. Clears so many doubts I had for ages.
You're a really good teacher! Your videos are awesome! Thank you!
Glad you like them!
So grateful for this clear and well organized video! I was really confused about the fact that the lateral horn of the spinal cord was present in segments S2-S4, when the spinal cord ends at the level of L1-L2, this video confirmed the only logical conclusion I could think of, that the discrepancy between the lenght of spinal cord meant that the spinal segments corresponding to spinal nerves caudal to the spinal cord had to be contained in the conus medullaris. This important and potentially confusing distinction between spinal segments and spinal levels wasn't really explained in much detail in a single one of my anatomy books, neuroanatomy books, or even shown clearly in my atlas. This is truly gold for a medical student!
Sooo true I totally agree to this, in 7 years I've never really understood it properly... Finally today I got to know how it works exactlyyy
Your videos make learning anatomy very fun and interesting. You're an absolute treasure and must be preserved at all costs.
it's very interesting. I learn more clearly about spinal cord segmentation. Thank you for your terrific presentation.
This is a great one! It also finally clears up my confusion around the C8 spinal level cord level.
Thank you so much! I love how you described the misconceptions and explained it. You earned a new subscriber :)
I think teachers have to give up the traditional presentation way and start to learn making animated lectures to their calsses. Big thank for you Dr. Morton❤

Thank you, Sir!
V column= 33 segments (7 Cervical/12 Thoracic/5 Lumbar/ 5 Sacral/4 coccyx)
Spinal cord= 31 segments cord/nerve segments (8 Cervical/12 Thoracic/5 Lumbar/ 5 Sacral/1 coccyx)
Occipital bone=first cervical vertebrae informally.
Vertebral Segmental discrepancy=Cervical region nerve exits above associated vertebrae. C8 spinal segment courses above the T1 Vertebrae.
Thoracic region=all spinal nerves exit below associated vertebrae/spinal nerves start horizontally and then obliquely.
Lumbar region=spinal cord levels are more superior to their associated vertebrae. Spinal nerves course vertically (becoming the cauda equina) to course below their associated vertebrae.
Sacral region=Spinal cord are more superior to their associated vertebrae-course vertically becoming cauda equina.
love the video

What about the coccyceal spine level?
It is there but I don’t focus so much on it because it has little clinical significance
@@TheNotedAnatomist Oh okay.Btw the videos are awesome and easy-to understand the main concept.Keep it up :)
