What company do you work for? I am a woman and starting my trucking career. I want to be able to concealed carry .

I will get another job but can't get another life. So what the company says doesn't mean nothing to me. I need to be able to defend myself in any situation. So having a firearm isn't a guarantee of survival in life threatening situations but it is a chance at survival and I rather have a chance at survival.
Just a few weeks ago a truck driver was found shot to death at or near a Love's Truck Stop in East Nashville,TN

I sincerely hope someone takes this to the Supreme Court. I think they’d overturn any prohibitions on carrying firearms in a semi that a driver is living out of while at work. I may be wrong as I’m not a lawyer but you’d think the Castle Doctrine would apply.

No one is granted access to my truck without being a cop and having PC or a warrant. I stay out of anti gun states

Yes every state and province is actually going to be very very different just the fact that there's so many differences it's probably not worth keeping up with it. For example I have a license out of the state of Texas that permit is not acknowledged in several States like California

Well so farr you just put about half of the truckers in jail with your advice .
But as a firearm instructor let me make this as plane as the crome on your truck.
NEVER CARRY A GUN ON A TRUCK OR ANYWHERE WITHOUT A E.C.C L
Enhanced Conceal and carry license and never use your gun to defend you truck and freight or company truck and freight only use your gun to defend your self and your loved ones and the innocent .
The reason for the E.C.C.L
All school zones in most states have a zero gun zone and the only way to carry your gun in thise school zones is within ykur vehicle only and with a E.C.C.L
If your caugh in a school zone in .ost states that are zero gun zones without the ECCL you will have a felony with a firearm on your record uo to $50.000 in fines then legal fees and could spend a vacation in federal prison for up to 10 years .
Even with ECCL always have two lock boxes to breakdown your gun and lock it up have a shipping box for those lock cases un case you find yourself running cannada .
Ship your gun home inform the post office to put a hold on the package for you and pick it up when you get back home .
Always know the local firearms laws but when gun is broken down like i instructed your gun then becomes gun parts not a gun .
I BEEN pulled on scales at a inspection as a crete driver with my ECCL within the states that honored my license and never got into trouble simply let the officer know that i have a ECCL
And had it on me some would want the gun until after inspection some told me to just leav it in my holster but i always communicated the risk with all officers on scene .
When you have a ECCL most companies will let you have your gun but will warn you .
DONT LET US OR OUR CUSTOMERS SEE IT .!
