One of the first to use harmonics as melody in popular music was Jaco Pastorius. Check out the into to "Byrdland" on Weather Report's album "Heavy Weather." The intro to the song is done using "artificial harmonics," and at the time it was something never really heard before.
Wow! 5:15 onwards ... However, although the soloing is awesome, Bach clearly shows that it's mind over matter first, then duo improvisations, and showing chops last.
How far are real percussionists to be understood! It is not the fastest, nor the biggest staged drums + cymbals dangling neither up nor down! It is not the way to appreciate percussionist's full treat ... but the one that can jazz. And for that purpose: It is not until xylophone is to be reached, the ultimate percussionist can be derived!

Das erinnert an Play Bach von Jaques Loussier. Kinga Glyk ist einfach grossartig. Bei ihr stimmt alles. Hoffentlich wird man noch viel von ihr hören!
