They have a horrible CB room and they might be down to trade Jamel Dean for Nick Herbig. They also might be down to trading for a future 2nd or third in case they don’t want Jamel Dean. Nick Herbig is young and wins at a very high rate. He could be an elite pass rusher for the next 6 to 7 years here in Tampa
Our pass rush suffered from a very poor pass defense. No time to get to the qb because the middle of the field was wide open. Get a mlb that can cover and another db. YaYa and Braswell will be better next year if you can close that void.
He's probably going to make 25-30 mil on his new contract but the Bucs can soften his cap hit if the glazers are willing to write a big signing bonus check

Biggest thing this team can do is offer Shaq Barrett George Edwards job. Dude killed JTS and Diaby, and the difference at edge with and without Barrett in the locker room is very noticeable. Personnel wise, you could probably make some more savvy moves- no guarantee Cincy even wants to trade with how bad their defense was. Someone here mentioned Nick Herbig from the Steelers, could be a bargain asset. Mohammed Kamara might even be cheaper; he's unproven and not a perfect prospect, but still a very good one and was also second only to Jared Verse in generating pressure coming out of college

We signed Deion Jones who can be a bridge player for atleast 2 yrs until we get Lavonte's replacement up to speed. Yaya is going into yr 3 and is already a threat off the edge along with Kancey. If we can get our corners to be more physical at the LOS and stop telegraphing blitzes that will help the entire defense. We should draft BPA for positions of need and try to fix our salary cap so that we can resign some of our own proven players when the time comes

Instead or going for an alpha rusher that would cost a lot of draft capital and a 25 million per year salary I would rather sign Chase Young at 16 million per year + Baron Browning at 6 million per year + trade for Nick Herbig at 1.2 million + Shaq Barret for 3.8 million = $27 million total for 4 players that can ad to our pass rushing group as well as Diaby and Brasswell. All of that without losing premium draft picks
I'm a little concerned about Maxx Crosby's sack dip last year and I think he's too similar to Yaya Diaby in terms of pass rush style as a power rusher.

We should be trading down, and pick up some more 2nd/3rd round picks. The middle of this draft is insanely talented. I'd trade back with KC to get their 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounders or 1st, 3rd and 4th rounders

That is who is going to be there, but if they are not going to ready week one, you can't draft them at 19. Luther Burden at 19? Or Malachai Starks? He'll want 30+ million a year, and it's not guaranteed he'll play well under Bowles' defense. Rather see the Bucs draft their guy. What free agent edge helped his team go to the Super Bowl? Pass Rush is not the Real problem! Zion McCollum is the only 1 v 1 player on the team . Dean cannot press cover ! The Safety’s on this team ALL Suck in coverage including Winfield Jr ! David has lost a step in TE pass coverage! And with Dennis out none of the ILB’s can cover anybody!!! There is no time For the rush to develop! The way coverage is on this team right now Hendrickson would not get 10 sacks lol……
Pass rush & pass coverage go hand in hand. To say it was not a problem is ridiculous. Some teams have great Olines & some teams have QBs with quick releases. You need a dawg that can’t do damage regardless. Trey fits the bill for me. Then go in the draft & grab another edge rusher.

I think this is a week week week draft class I would hit it hard and quick if we truly believe the window is open now bringing Crosby bringing in some other free agents go for broke move our chips to the center of the table nobody in this year‘s draft is very good.

I like the Hendrickson idea
Not giving up a draft pick for any of these guys, especially multiple draft picks. Improve your secondary and maybe the guys you have will get there.
Depends on which edge rusher they draft then.
If I'm Jason, I would draft the highest defensive rated player at 19. Whether that be corner, edge or safety.
BTW I'd also consider a DL if one has slipped down to 19.
Jeffrey Bassa in the second round is a must have pick.
