Magical is the only way I can think to describe what i've just seen. I can only hope to one day be fortunate enough to own a similarly striking piece of scale engineering.
I have not heard anything, but would be great if they did. There is virtually no film of them. Only ever seen one short clip of one arriving at a station
Hi. If I’m not mistaken is that C4 a Keith Cousins kit? If so your vid has proved very interesting as I’ve just acquired one myself. Have you any running tips that you’d be kind enough to pass on please? Your loco is beautifully finished and I’m very interested in the control you have. I’ve just subscribed!
Hello, No nothing to do Keith Cousins. It was scratch built from Paul Forsythe drawings. I do know that Keith offers it as a kit. I did buy the steam dome from Keith The only other parts bought in were the raw cylinder castings and the wheel castings from Walsall Engineering that I machined. Once it was all tuned up and steaming fine for a couple of seasons I added the R/C.
The drawings are from Paul Forsythe. If you are a member of G1MRA and receive their quality journal you will usually see one of his adverts. Some G1 traders sell his drawings. Such as "Just The Ticket " but am sure there are other suppliers also.
@@rob60 Meant to say unless the drawings have been updated since i bought mine. There are a few gaps in them. Namley no mention of any lubrication system, no details of blast pipe, no details of blast pipe nozzle or diameter. These you may need to figure out for yourself.
@@GroveDave Thanks for letting me know. I've just received the drawings from Paul Forsythe and yes there are a few gaps in them but I'm sure I could figure them out myself. Although it is also an option with the build that there is no water axle pump detail with the drawings but I would prefer to add one.
@@rob60 Yes forgotten about the lack of axle pump info. I fitted one to mine as they do extend the running. But if you have built this type of stuff before, you will have no difficulty figuring it out.

Absolutely wonderful. Your railway and it's locomotives and rolling stock are all superb; thanks for posting your efforts!
Thanks, glad you liked them
Such a nice 4-4-2!
Many thanks
Like your videos a pleasure to watch your lovely railway.
Many thanks

Wasn't without it's tears getting there, but great once you do get there. Glad you liked the video
wow brilliant x
Many thanks
lovely garden and buildings. Handsome engines the GCR Atlantics
Many thanks, would have liked to have seen one of those Jersey Lily's in the flesh so to speak
Aren't there plans to make a new build one of these. Such a handsome locomotive

very enjoyable video
Many thanks
Great video. Now after watching yours I need to improve my garden railway video skills :)
Many thanks
Beautiful work. Power to weight ratio of locos is so great that they start moving rather too quickly and jerkily. How can you correct this?
Many thanks
Honestly, with one mentioned by the guys who are making the new MS&LR Class 2 4-4-0 no.567
They could be building one after said engine is finished
If you are talking about a brand new Jersey Lily. That would be great, I would like to see that.
@@GroveDave yep. Something they put online might suggest that they could be building one once 567 is finished
The thing suggests its a replica of GCR no.365

@@GroveDave ah ok and thank you for your answer. You’ve made a superb job of it, all the more so if it’s scratch built.
Lovely railway 😀, did you make the station buildings? They look fab
Many thanks glad you like it. Yes all the buildings were scratch built. They were based on buildings at Highley on the Severn Valley Railway
@@GroveDave did you use pvc foamex board to make them? I use hight temp resin for mine
@@eddywilliams6212 For all the main buildings I used 8mm thick MDF

Is it electric powered or fire powered?
It is spirt fired live steam at around 70 psi
GroveDave would you happen to know where one could find an engine like this electrically powered?
