EPIC tutorial Obi-Dad! I can't wait to start customizing my Proffie saber fonts. Also I wanna share a tip. There are inexpensive rubber tipped tweezers "for hobbies" available. I use 'em for pulling batteries and SD cards as you did and even a stubborn chassis I have in one my sabers. These make it even easier to grab hold of stuff without slipping an provide extra damage protection. BONUS: No wives, girlfriends or moms when you get caught haha!
Ha, ha ha ha no way! I’ve been looking for some thing just like that! Because on the Anakin Saber, those tiny little metal pieces at the top are screwed in and I can’t get to them with my giant fingers. But I didn’t want to use metal tweezers and scratch them up. I will have to Google search them. Thank you so much.
Proffie is one of the most difficult to program. I leave that to kids that have the brain power to do that. I'm glad you have shown people how to instead change fonts the easier way. Just remember: Always back up your microSD cards before you do any changes. It can save you major headaches. PS: other saber font styles (Xeno, SNpixel, etc.) can be installed in most the same fashion. Some font crafters do fonts in packages to cover a wide range.

Obi Dad. Huge fan of you videos and attitude! Thanks for what you do! I have been collecting sabers for a little bit and really just started playing with Proffie. It’s great. I, like most, started with Hasbro and then Disney. The. Upgraded to Neopixel with Xeno and SNpixel. Now have been playing with Proffie. I think if you did a deep dive into the SNpixel app, you would love it. For the small step of the the sound board, you gain with customization on the app. Flickers, hum are the easiest to make and will look better than what comes from the factory on Proffie. SNpixel v4 pro is coming out soon but the current is very nice. I think extremely underrated and will give you some more content to make. Idk if you buy your sabers but I’ve been getting them from TXQ directly. Save money and the difference between SNpixel and Proffie is only $20. Thanks again.
Great video. The move from leaving it as-is to elbow deep in Proffie is difficult and showing this is a great way to bridge the gap. As for the saber, a couple of things I've found so far. First, TXQ, the manufacturer is on its third version already. The first run had the dirty weathering look on the hilt. The second version has the dark anodized look. On the newest they have removed the hole and hex screw that is on the back of the hilt opposite the control box and instead hid it in the control box. I believe there are also some changes to the control box, but I'm not sure. As for the intent of what saber it is a replica of, I am sure the intent was to make a replica of the BOBF Luke saber. Anakin Starkiller on the RPF designed it with TXQ with the intent of replicating that saber (I think the screen hilt was resin). He specifically worked to replicate the angle of the cuts in the section above the control box area (there's a name for this part, but it escapes me). They are different than any other Luke saber before. TXQs belt clip is very wrong and the switch box is off, but the machined parts are dead on. Like you mentioned @halliwaxbasementbuilds has a couple videos about it. He has the first version. If you want to remove the anodizing from the newer ones you can't do it with steel wool like he does. There's a chemical that escapes me at the moment that will remove the anodizing. Someone used "Whink Rust Stain Remover" to do it I think.

Do you know why my color of lightsaber didn’t change? I bought my first font from Kyberphonic ANI3. I replaced files in JURASSIC font (I also have proffie 2.2 Luke Skywalker from Artsabers). The sound changed but the color not. This tutorial is only for sound? Best regards
First of all excellent video. The easiest to go through step by step! I have the same exact saber from ArtsSaber Profile. Can I rearrange the fonts in order? I would like the one you just added as well as me to be the first font. I always wanted a true Luke sound from ROTJ one these things and I have no idea why they never seem to put the correct fonts on the character sabers for that character. Thanks in advanced.
Hey Jeff, thank you so much for the compliment. I really appreciate it. The only way to arrange the fonts in order is if you do the long and complicated reprogramming involving a data cable and a couple of computer programs. I like to have mine in chronological order as well, I know how you feel.
If you go into the “Config” File within each additional sound font that you add to the SD card, can you permanently change the color in there? After following these steps everything works as it should except the color always goes back to default and won’t save when I change it by the color wheel. Thanks for any help!

The only question I have at the end of the video is it possible to have a profile lightsaber that only has the saber sound effects aka no fonts, tracks, quotes, etc. Basically I want a really expensive Hasbro Luke ROTJ saber except more accurate in size. Ples help! have the exact same luke saber and when i open my chassis its the same as yours but my soundboard is slightly more toward the speaker and with tools and tweezers i cant even get a grip on the sd card. Is my board warped or something?

Hey Steve, that’s a good question. Sometimes you can access the SD card with a data cable, but I think that is a feature that has to be unlocked on the soundboard.
I own this saber, but it’s the SN-4 version. Is there a way of getting that font on SN-4? If not, do you know if you can buy a proffie chassis to retrofit to this saber (to replace my SN-4)?
I bought a saber from Ultra Sabers and it didn't come with any sound. I don't want to send it back to them just to be charged a crap ton of money to add it. Is there a way to do it at home?
I have the same saber. Sometimes when I swing it, the blade flickers off as if it’s losing contact with the base. Am I not tightening the screw enough ?
Sorry buddy, this is for the Neopixel Sabers that have a specific soundboard Cole proffie, it’s very common amongst the reasonably priced sabers. It can just be tricky and very time-consuming to take the long route to programming them with their own sounds and blade effects this video is a shortcut 👍🏻
Voicelines and most music are absolutely the most annoying thing about these nice sabers. Cringey quotes from prequels at volume 900 when firing up a saber is irritating.

Top tip. Use scotch tape to tape a piece of ribbon to the battery. Now you can pull on the ribbon to pop the battery out

More fonts can be added! Get searching for those ones you want as there’s some great ones out there.

I do SNv4 installs all the time and Kyberphonics Proffie ones are so easy to add to it. Just change the folder name to the next sequential number!

worst lightsaber in terms of components .... I own it sucks .... the blade does not stay connected correctly and is also crooked. Artsabers sucks
