+Zacuto - 6:14 Yes, hurray, for REAL 4K ! Support 4096, it's 'digital'; why hang on to an old analog Standard (and throw out a few bits that the digital chip already supports), you'll be buying all new equipment to support DCI if you don't have REAL 4K). +1 for keeping that important point (that some seem not to understand) on the front burner.
this is a sick camera! I would LOVE this for literally any run n gun application... i'm sure you couldddd push it to get shallow DOF. But honestly the feature set is wonderful. Everything a wedding or event videographer would need. And I dig the non IC lens, its pretty fast and I'm sure has wonderful optics if its 'built for the sensor/camera'. The price is really a killer...if they got this thing under 3k i guarantee this would be HUGE. But how does this compare to something like the GH4?
good review, but i have not very clear in he part where the test zoom out on the bridge, it was recorded with the canon 5d mark 2 or with dvx200. thanks
Wait till you discover all the clever things this camera does. Programable rack focusing, insane IS, the list goes on.. Panasonic rules the pro market..
Here is a real camera. A large sensor camcorder with a damn nice lens on it. To be honest, few of us are shooting at 350mm anyway, but the fact its f4.8 at that range! The canon lens equivalent is 2,000 dollars! Yeah its not a over the shoulder camera, but the price we save by only buying two parts from these guys is awesome. No buying 30 lenses, no buying 3 monitors, no buying external recorders, no constant hunting for focus, and still getting that beautiful DOF when you want it. I am buying this camera, and probably those two accessories for it. Did I mention it's not that stupid hokey UHD bullcrap, its full 200mbps hd up to 120fps and full 4k at what like 400mbps. Thats a real camera, that will have the correct format in ten years as well. Wow, just fantastic. I love your reviews, especially when Steve starts getting real with the camera sales people! Tell them what there doing wrong! lol Now if they come out with this in a ENG over the shoulder version in a couple years, you guys might be in some trouble. lol
My only concern is the ND switch, those type seem to break over time. Feels like the knob on say the Sony FS5 will last longer. Any feedback on this from those shooting with this camera for the past few months?

Anyone out there know why my Panasonic AG-DVX200 is all of a sudden losing frames on my recordings? Has this camera had a history of issues with that?
Did not say anything about how long the battery last?
me want...
why no interchangeable lens

How long until there's no one left caring about 'filmic'?
Al, 1970 called and wanted all that back.
Lol
Another camera abandoned. Every camcorder now has the same 1 inch sensor and the same crappy lens that cant match the DOF and dynamic range of this.
Sucks in low light
