I personally think this is the most important advanced scratch to learn.

I like that variation of the baby in between the forward and reverse, another one I've seen which I can't seem to get yet is performing a baby after EACH forward and back movement. like forward push baby backwards pull baby and repeat, putting the two clicks in the middle of each pull or push.

Great job Shiftee! Important question! - what's your opinion on scratching with a controller? Can a DDJ-SZ be just as effective?

now unless ive been wrong this whole time or unless west coast names are different than east coast, orbits are just a description of a flare where the clicks mirror each other forwards and backwards, so you can have 1 click orbits, 2 click orbits... 3 click orbits... ect...

@slicksyde NickNack "Soundcraftsman Vol 1" on Crowd Control Records. Seems I can't post links here, so search youtube for "soundcraftsman demo" and you can see more on the record and where to get it.

I still don't understand the relation that the crossfader has to the sound and how to learn the proper co-ordination needed for the record hand and the crossfader hand. I refuse to believe that these skills are only attainable through birth, but I do find it very difficult to learn.

One thing no one talkes about in flare-type scratch tutorials is the fader hand position(?) change when you double the speed. At 1:30 the hand looks to be one way, at 1:35 looks different. It seams like when in high/double speed the focus stops being on the thumb closing the fader.. kind of like in chirps.. for me this is the hard part to learn.
