With the clicking, take turns solo'ing each channel to find the source. Increase the Attack - clicking still there? Reverse the changes you made to the Attack and play with the Release instead. If you do it incrementally you will be able to remove the clicking without noticably changing envelopes of your sound

Bass envelope needs tightening up, and also there's some occasional audible clicks, maybe from a too fast amp attack, or attack on compression/sidechain devices? The washed out arpy pad is far too loud in the mix, it's overbearing on the groove. Try bringing it down a few dB and adding some movement with filter automation or some sidechain compression. I'd love to hear some more percussion to give some energy. Overall a nice musical idea. Don't get too stuck in your projects as you learn. Make as many loops and short sequences as possible until you feel ready to complete a full arrangement. Keep creating!

@@MartsMcfly thanks! Yeah I can hear the clicks now. I made this on a pair of Bluetooth headphones so missed the clicks.
What do you mean by tightening the envelope? And re the bass, should it always live between 40hz and 120hz? As in, should I completely remove all 120hz+ bass with an EQ?

@@saadystic He is just taking it too seriously. There is no such thing as "envelope tightening up" , no such problem in this bass sound. Actual attack amount is just creating space for the kick, that's good. Sounds sidechained without actual sidechain compression. As for your question about bass EQ, do not cut anything out of that bass. It is not a pure sub bass so you still need those upper harmonics. It'll sound dull if you cut 120+ out.

@SlimJointJr there is some EQ on there, though. And yes, you're right. It's not side chained.

@@SlimJointJr "He is just taking it too seriously. There is no such thing as "envelope tightening up" , no such problem in this bass sound." is incorrect given there are constant clicks coming from the bass (or at least it sounds like they line up with bass notes playing), Altering the envelope to remove these clicks is crucial and fixing these kinds of issues is commonly refered to as "tightening up". in the same way that cleaning your house is refered to "tightening up"...
Edited to be nicer, yet convey the same meaning. Sorry I wrote it in the way I did initially, that was absolutely not needed

@@Projektor_music Envelope has nothing to do with those clicks, are you kiddin with me? So obvious that you have no idea about audio processing. Those clicks are internal audio processing issues caused by hardware. Please, learn basic audio processing and come speak with me again. There is no single human being on earth that will aprove this "altering the envelope to remove these clicks" . Please, go do this and come hit me with a comment on one of my videos. I'm begging you because such non sense needs to be fixed with proper education. "Envelope has N-O-T-H-I-N-G to do with those clicks." Do you want me to say it again? "Envelope is a path to shape the sound signal's vertical (AMPLITUDE) OR horizontal (FREQUENCY) movement in a certain amount of time. This simple. I'm an audio engineer and producer, I know what I'm talking about. If his hardware, either audio recording or streaming can't handle the sample rate he's working on, it would click or if his bass SAMPLE was badly recorded, it would click but this is not a case as it was from an internal synth of ableton. Can't believe how internet gives people like this so much self confidence to come spill all their b s without hesitating. This guy curses at me but when I'm responding back this website blocks my comment so I type this from my other account, just like you did with your first comment up there.
