The emperor is an extremely under rated villain. Truly the embodiment of vanity, greed, and avarice. It shows how dangerous one man in a position of power with these qualities can be.
You gotta admit, Mateus Paramekia (the name of the Emperor) pulled off quite the feat. He got his power by making a deal with Hell, but when he died, he proceeded to take over not just Hell, but Heaven as well! That means he beat down the Devil and God and proceeded to take over both of their thrones, each with only half of his true power. Imagine if you had faced a united, reborn Emperor...
i don't think he defeated God i think God being omniscient omnipotent and omnipresent would know how things end and that firion and co can handle it. I wouldn't take anything the emperor says at face value, i always just assumed the power of hell found him suitable to use for whatever purpose they had, but who knows its a pretty simple story (which makes it fun to think about some of the details that are left out) I know tolkien once said a story that reveals too much isnt as good as one that leaves some tings vague. I agree.
@@DFProuctionsdude, I would love that. Make it like a third part of the game where after you take on both the heaven and hell versions of Mateus Palamecia and destroy him, he merges once again with both halves and becomes a super boss that has the powers of both forms. That would be awesome.
This remains the best version of this epic track. I wasn't blown away by the Pixel Remaster version, which was good, but there's something charming about this arrangement. It's simple and militaristic, I just love the drums and the fact that the strings are the standouts of the song, as they should be.
I think it depends on which one you heard first. I heard pixel remaster’s version first, and it sounds waaaaaaaay better than any other version, especially since it doesn’t repeat as frequently. Just my experience; I respect your experience fully
@@BoojieD definitely in disagreement for sure. The PR version is okay but way over the top. Didn't need the vocals. This is the best version because it remains simplistic but epic at the same time and allows the strings to stand out.
Nothing wrong with that. Castlevania the Adventure Rebirth has some wonderful arrangements that are perfect for a workout too. Especially when fans extend the songs to go out to 30 minutes. Just gets you in a mood.
I walked in on a solo run Ribbon, black robe, protect ring, holy lance, cats claws, and a level 8 berserk, lv 3 haste, and the emperor lasted like 5 turns, FF 2 solo runs are really easy. At least if you grind in flynn against captains early game, I one to 2 shot most bosses
It's not so bad if you know the right tricks. You see, an alarming number of enemies in the game are vulnerable to instant death, but not the Death element. Instead, they are vulnerable to spells of the Matter element - in this case, Toad for Black Magic and Teleport for White Magic. Give Toad to one person, and Teleport to another, and level them up to 7 or so over the course of the game while keeping their Intelligence and Wisdom/Spirit high. By endgame, you can take out entire groups of enemies, and even some of the optional bosses in Pandemonium with these spells. Just be sure to only wear light armors to maximize the chance of a spell's success. Undead enemies are immune to Matter elemental spells, but you can use a well-leveled, multi-target Life spell to take them out instantly as well. Until then, Fire works well on most Undead. There are very few enemies that are immune to both Matter element while not being undead as well. Including the undead monsters, there's a total of 36 out of 169 monsters in the Dawn of Souls version, including Soul of Rebirth, that resist or absorb Matter elemental spells, and are thus immune to Toad and Teleport. In fact, you can abuse Teleport in the early game. Use the enemies outside of Altair to level up Minwu's Teleport to 4 or so. Then you can go into Fynn and use it to take out the Captains and get some nice equipment way earlier than you normally should...INCLUDING Toad Tomes!
@@JanusHoW I usually have no problem taking down most enemies, the problematic factor is the Knight enemies (forget name), who start fight with a preemptive strike and do 1000+ damage each attack.
It is very ironic that one of the most disliked FF games happens to have one of the best soundtracks. IMHO, anyway. Tbh i didnt fully hate the leveling system as much as a lot of people did, but i didnt love it either and the game was kinda broken for that reason. I had a good time with it though lol.
Indeed, they added Latin choruses and honestly they just sounded cacophonic to me. This, however, is just an amazing listen because of how it has that military march beat to it, a simplistic majesty that just works. It's so well put together, and remains my favorite rendition of this iconic final dungeon theme.

This sounds so epic and sad at the same time that hard to do
YOU ARE 100% RIGHT NO WONDER WHY I GOT SO SAD at the end of the souls of rebirth scenario
It really does have a somber feel alongside a militaristic one. The PR arrangement ruined that.

if you dont walk in here with the blood sword prepare to be wrecked
DO NOT just go in there with 2 level 9 rune axes and 2 more companions who have 6 in madness spell xd
