advertised feul consumption , roughly 0.6 per 10km, realistically its 0.8-0.9 that said, even if i bought it for its slim feul consumption, its by far one of the best cars ive driven. ive driven brand new e class mercedes and new cadillacs. the lexus rx 450h is like the most practical car with a decent power package
The steering wheel, the stereo, the rear lights, the lack of the EV-button and the chrome plate on the trunk indicates that it is pre-facelift (2011). Someone has upgraded the head lights and front bumper.
I have one identical. Nice car, rock solid reliability, but pretty harsh ride on bad roads though. Will be thinking of changing original shock absorbers with something more sophisticated, like KYB.
Hi the RX450H is very smooth and comfortable, I've had several Lexus LS 430, 460, GS450h 3rd and 4th gen so I know what I'm saying, what mileage do you have? you may have a broken suspension
@@alexkawinski7912 Nope suspension is Ok. The problem with harsh ride is mentioned also in plenty of articles related to 3rd gen RX450h, so it's a common issue.
Make sure the rubber oil cooler line has been replaced, check the ABS brake control module, make sure inverter isn't leaking. Make no mistake, don't take those as a super negative thing, if maintain these vehicles are very reliable and can last Way beyond their years just need sensible maintenance.
Where did you get 249 BHP from? The hybrid system (V6+2 electric motors) delivers 300 BHP. I know, I've got one. An average of 11 Ltrs/100 is insane! You must be driving it wrong. I Get around 7.5 (Lexus say 6.2, but that's downhill, I guess). I can't get it over 9 Ltrs even after hours on the motorway. What are you doing??
Hi @stephenoneil I’m looking forward in buying this Lexus Rx450h 2012 but where is work is a bit far 15 miles going and coming 15 miles too, I’m afraid of petrol consumption, lots of people are discouraging me not to buy due to fuel consumption consumption. Pls I need your sincere advice . Thanks 🙏
As I said, I usually get good mileage in town and across country. Motorway drives will increase consumption because it's a very heavy car and you can't run a V6 (3.5 Ltrs) on fresh air. The trick is to accelerate quite quickly and then take your foot off the gas and let the "power" needle hover around the 3rd marking (battery only/engine ticking over) as much as possible. Also, looking ahead like we used to do in a diesel is helpful. Use the weight of the car to coast up to junctions and traffic lights, for example. The car will teach you how to be frugal in no time. You'll soon get the hang of it. Apart from that, it also uses petrol with 10% ethanol (usually cheaper than super). Road tax is low because of relatively low emissions and repairs are hardly worth talking about, but watch out for worn out front suspension (heavy car).@@obinnajoseph5446
This is what I understood after I raised single pre-owned 2011 450h AWD I bought for mechanic peace-of-ming independent inspection. He pointed out to the already showing a sign of wearing shocks, especially the front one, plus the brake pads. 450h AWD top of the RX line has increased weight w/ two more traction el. motors and high voltage NiMeH heavier than Li-Ion newer generation hybrid batteries. Front shocks & brake pads wearing faster is to be expected as a typical.
The 11L/100km gasoline mileage on average reviewer’s last video shot demonstrated per over 8k trip is very unusually high and not normal. It’s obvious that the driver even in winter cold conditions did not know how to take advantage of this hybrid synergy drive when he could have saved on gas. Or his hybrid battery are worn enough so not allowing to get the most of his hybrid crossover.
At 11 liters per 100km I would rather buy Land Cruiser 150 Prado they keep their price very good on any market out there. Lexus is going down regardless of condition.

It can't be 2011, this facelift arrived not before 2013 at least. By the way nice video, I have same car.

Are you sure? Since I bought recently a single owner 2011 450h AWD and I have this dashboard facelift and etc.
Very good video!

Did you have any problems so far? Anything about the battery. Is the battery reliable??

I have the same model, but when I push start, the steering wheel and seat don’t adjust automatically.
What’s the fix?
They need programming. Look at the manual.
Use the driver door buttons showing a few different programming options to save for sharing the drive with someone else
