Thanks for the video! The song is a nice example on grooving with minimal elements but constant movement. And being able to see it going thrugh like this is really lovely and educational. I had to prepare this song for a live presentation and this video was really welcome.
Very good. I only say like others followers, you got avery good ear. You got Some part very difficul to hear, and you got it perfectly. If you still have the midifiles, i will thank you for ever !!!
@criplekreek not shure if I understood your question but this is how I did: first I changed the pitch of the song a bit lower because the original is not on the standard 440Hz.. then I found the tempo (beat) that is about 100.750 bpm.. then I started to listen the song focusing on the clavinet.. after I`ve learned the hole song I recorded the clavinet on the midi track.
@chrispyt77 Thanks!!! I've heard the music at 2:29 and 2:41 and there really are this details I didn't catch.. what a ear you have my friend!! heheh I'll send you a message with the link of the logic project and the midi files! See Ya!
well done! That's awesome work - I've wanted to do this for a LONG time. And I want to transcribe the whole song perfectly with every nuance so a band can replicate it - just, what can come close to the feel and groove of this song? I think at 2:29 the clav plays a three note chord on the first beat, just before 'Only...' I could be picky picky, but I think you've done a marvelous job! (And I want the midi file too :D ) and at 2:41 - there's a funky suspension chord there,
The clav here is pure understated brilliance, great video!
Fantastic! The clavinet melody is my favourite part of the whole song.

Well done. I wonder who played on the original: Tyrone or Earl Wya?
The person in charge of the clavinet was earl, nice greetings ✌️✨💚💛❤️
beautiful clavinet lines
The orignal recording is probably played by either tyrone downie or earl lindo
Earl lindo una eminencia en los teclados del reggae 💚💛❤️✨
