We made a slide presentation back in high school with this process using magazine pictures and clear packing tape. You do not have to remove the image from the paper prior to soaking. It will just take a bit more soaking to remove all the paper. We then mounted them into slide mounts. Such a cool technique!
👍🏻😘
Yes, someone showed us that method some time ago. Thanks for the reminder. 👍🏾
I have several boxes of these overhead projector films, both ink jet and laser. My office was cleaning out their supply room and was going to throw them away!!! I took as many as I could carry on the train home! Lucky me! LOVE this idea!
😘👍🏻
Very lucky you!!! Hope you get some great results with them 😊
Miss Margreth, I don't know how you come up with this stuff. You are amazing. Thank you for sharing and God Bless.🥰💖💯💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍👍🐞🌹🦂🌵
🥰
Love this Margreth. Such a great idea! TFS 😊
Love this project and I've made some before myself but I didn't like the shiny finish off the tape. Place your tape on a non slip surface, take a scoring pad and gently rub in circles. It really dulls down the shine 👍
What a fun idea with the tape! I will definitely be trying this. I've used my stamps and stamp rollers with black permanent ink on tape and use it like washi tape. I've, also, applied acrylic paints on tape and then stenciled with a different color of paint over top and used it like washi as well.
😘☺️
So-much-fun! 👏🏻
I’m getting prepared to make my very first journal. I’m so looking forwarding to experimenting with this. haha! Thank you.
😘👍🏻
Fun! I have done the packing tape method and as mentioned you don’t have to peel back the tape although when it works it may be easier …however what it did do was get me off my Hines to figure out if my old box of transparencies would work in my printer, first try it crumpled then I read to tape the transparency to copy paper and it worked like a dream so thank you!!
Great 👍🏻😘
Thank you for listening about the dangers of using blending solution in a mister and sharing the information.
This is a fantastic idea. Thank you for experimenting for us. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦
☺️👍🏻
The ones that didn’t rub off so well is because of the more modern paper. Its fibres are more closely compressed, making it more durable & less brittle than older paper, which means it’s harder to rub off. Still looks cool though over coloured paper. And I love what you made with your transparent pieces! Especially the envelope
Thanks 😊
Thank you for all your hard work in bringing alternative ideas to printing out these embellishments.
😘☺️👍🏻
Love this!! Can’t wait to experiment.
What a great experiment! I didn’t think there would be so many great uses for it! 🤗❤️
😊👍🏻
Amazing experiment, thank you for sharing with me.
👍🏻😘
What a great experiment! I especially loved the envelope pocket. I also loved hearing your excitement when it worked out!!! Nice job!!
Thanks ☺️
You could try doing the inks on the ones that didn’t turn out great and make the faux aged tape. You could also use that technique on your acetate too! Happy crafting love 💕
Yessss great idea 😘
Your idea is much interesting and i want to do it to. Thank you for sharing and doing. It's a cool project dear Margreth. 😊
Thanks 😊
Thanks. Remember doing this a very long time ago. Saw at a rubber stamp convention. Then you forget.
😊👍🏻
What a fun project love the end results
Thanks ☺️
Fantastic!!! What a fun way to make unique ephemera. If you start experimenting with your gelli plate, you can use your packing tape to pick up strips of paint from your plate. Do a search on that for a UA-cam video. I can't remember who I watched demo that, but I have had such a good time creating colorful borders.
👍🏻☺️
Fun and effective project. Definitely trying this. Thanks for sharing.
😘👍🏻
Shopping list for today, tape and transparencies 😂 so cool. Is THIS mixed media 😂😘❤✌🤷🏽
😊😘👍🏻
Just love these!!!! Thanks for letting us watch your experimenting!!!!
👍🏻😘
❤❤❤ them lovey! I’m with you about getting my hands mucky but the end result IS worth it! Love the coin envelope with the wildflowers, really beautiful! 😊🇦🇺xxx
Thanks sweetheart
Fantastic ideas - love them all x
Great video. Thanks. Blessings and hugs 🤗
Lol for us…. You know you love doing these experiments. We use to to that with the comic strips from the Sunday paper. I had forgotten about that, I’m going to experiment now as well. Love the projects
Thanks ☺️
So much fun watching you do this project. We all need a little messy in our lives. 😊
😜👍🏻
Margreth what an idea!!! 💜💜💜
Thanks ☺️
Beautiful. Thanks for getting messy on our behalf. Love the tips.
😊😘👍🏻
So much fun watching today, especially the comments about it being messy. From mess to brilliant projects. ❤ it!
☺️😘
Great Idea! Love to see what works and what doesn't. Thx!
😘☺️
great ideas, love the paper bag. I used to do this with paints off a gelli plate to get beautiful transparent colours too. I must try it all again!
👍🏻😊
We appreciate everything you do for us.
wat is dit leuk! ik had het nog nooit gezien....ik ga het ook eens proberen. en wat een mooie projectjes heb je er mee gemaakt! dank je wel weer!🤗😘😊
😘
It is always good to see others experiment. I sure gave me some ideas!
Thanks..
☺️👍🏻
These are great! Thanks for the ideas they are brilliant and unique!
Thanks ☺️
Love this idea!!
They turned out fantastic margreth, it's been a while since I've done this, I was a little inpatient, so I will give this another try.🥰😘
😘👍🏻
That was cool, thanks for sharing
Love them! Will be trying this 😊👍❤️
This is a great experiment! Love that you did all the hard work. 😂😂😂
Thanks ☺️
Verry nice terchnique, I will give it a go, your such a clever lady, you think of such great things...take care
Thanks ☺️
What a cool experiment. That was cool to watch, tfs
Thanks ☺️
That was awesome!😊
Ohhh these are so cool I love a good experiment session ❤
Thanks love 😊
The one you tore almost looks like the shape was burned out of the envelope. I don't know if that was your intention, but it turned out great. I love all your finished pieces.
Thanks ☺️
Very interesting, thank you 💕
Love it
I've tried something like this before though I didn't have good results. Going to try this method.
Take great care with using acetate in your printer. Some acetate melts in printers and photocopiers. Old stuff is often the melting type. A colleague once gummed up the school’s photocopier, a lot of replacements had to be made by the engineer. She, my colleague, was not popular. ❤❤❤
😊👍🏻😘
Great project😊
Love your experimenting! I haven’t done this technique in years….must have a play with it again. I wanted to mention when you have time to play with your gelli plate off camera you will find out it is so fun and addicting. I prefer using ink pads and a brayer or alcohol inks over using paint myself because it’s less messy…lol. I was scared at first too to use my gelli plate and put it off as well. I think everyone is, but you will absolutely love it I’m sure once you get the hang of it, and there are great tutorials too. You make everything beautiful and all of your techniques are amazing! You have such a natural creative talent and I love listening to your videos every day while I’m crafting.😊
Thank you so much ☺️
Gelli printing is definitely addictive!!! Once you figure out how much paint to use & which colours you can use over each other (go dark to light or light to dark & make sure you know which paints are transparent or opaque), you will fall in love with the technique. The results are like nothing else.
Nunca habia pensado hacer eso. Lo provaré.❤
Awsome Experiments ….Wow
Thanks ☺️
I've seen it done where the paper is laid flat on the mat, which would make it easier to rub the paper off.
Love this Margreth, I’ve tried this before with clear tape, it’s a messy process but so worth it xxx
🥰👍🏻
Good evening margreth 😊 ❤😍
😘
Thank you, in England we say washing up liquid.
😘👍🏻
Very lovely ❤
Thanks ☺️
Wow! This was so interesting and informative! Thank you! ❤
😘👍🏻
I have been enjoying your video becos you share amazing content and im a bit addicted to watching haha . Everything is always so good and interesting . i love your energy and enthusiasm 👏👌💖💫
Thanks ☺️
I wish I was as organized as you.maybe I will be we bought a 10x 16 shed I call it my she shed lol my hubby has been wiring for power and I have to go to Lowe’s and buy me a rug then the hardest part is moving everything out of my very small craft room which is only a 8 x 10 and it’s jammed packed I can never find what I looking for in there.then I will be organizing my she shed .probably take me all spring and summer to do all that wish me luck.
Good luck 😊
Leuk idee..leuke ideeen
😊
Love this, I have tried it before with packing tape. I will have to try the medical tape and regular tape. Just a thought that popped into my head. Why not try the alcohol ink with the image transferred tapes?! Ok, bye... off to try it! Thank you for the inspiration!
Great idea ☺️👍🏻
Yours look Fantastic! Love these. Can't do them, it's a sensory thing. Rubbing wet paper off tape, ugh. 😂 However, I'm fine with coffee dying paper. 🤷🏻♀️🤣🤣
😂👍🏻
Fun stuff and awsome end results you made sweetie 🤩
Another technique I think you would love too - is to put wax/beewax/leather wax/leather balsam on your paper images and then iron them (use some tin foil upon the waxed paper, so that you don´t get your iron greasy afterwards or use an old iron) After ironing the papers you take som papertowel and wipe them a little and they will turn completely like transparent vellum - I have become nearly addicitted doing this, it is so much fun 😝
Must try that one day 😊
WAW I love it naw going to try 😂❤
Love it! Ik print vaak fotos op acetate, ook heel tof 🤩
👍🏻😊
The one you are not happy with has potential!!!
❤❤❤
🤩🤩🤩
😃
Hoe kom je toch op al die ideeën. Echt leuk geworden.
☺️😘
We call cello tape Scotch tape here in New Jersey
✨🌼❣️Thank you ❣️🌼✨
Was knowing the idea with tape on photos, also some tape wont work also, but i tottaly forgot it 😅❣️❣️❣️
Now iam thinking will it work with stamps even better ?
Thank you very much for bring it up and share it Margreth ❣️❣️❣️
👍🏻😘
Very interesting. I have printed on acetate with nice results. May try the Sellotape trick. Now, are you still saying you don't do mixed media, Margreth?! I think maybe you do you know. 😂 TFS ❤ as always. 😊
😂👍🏻😘
😂 ge-wel-dig👏🏼👍🏼😂
This is so cool. Thanks for showing this, I can’t wait to try it. Looks like you are doing mixed media today😂
😂👍🏻☺️
You can also get this effect by stamping on tape with stazon ink and your stamps xx without the mess 😂
👍🏻😊
Kia ora Margreth, can you tell me what printer you have and use? I really love your channel!
Thanks it’s an Epson workforce 7840
@@SevenplazaCreative thank you :)
Are you using a laser printer or inkjet printer. I thought the ink wouldn't dry using an inkjet printer.
Mine is an inkjet printer. There are special acetate sheets for each type . No clue what mine was, but apparently it worked 😁
Once they dry they become sticky again
👍🏻☺️
It should become sticky again once it dries.
Margreth…what printer do you have please?
Epson workforce 7840
@@SevenplazaCreative thank you.x
I didn’t see if you answered this already…would you mind sharing what printer you have?
Epson workforce 7840 👍🏻😊
@@SevenplazaCreative Thank you! I’ve been looking for a printer for a long while.
the medical tape might not hurt when you pull it off the skin--that is why is does not stick to the paper
👍🏻☺️
Als het goed is heeft je printer gewoon een optie om in spiegelbeeld te kunnen printen…..
Oh echt 😳 mijne is zo uitgebreid ik heb nog niet alle opties kunnen uitproberen 😜 Bedankt Sandra 😘
I’ve tried this technique twice. The first time it came out, second time not so much. Maybe U used the wrong paper. I don’t know.
'If you like messy, this is your project'😂 /cringe, cringe/. Inwardly, I'm squirming...
😂☺️👍🏻
