Hi, I found your video pretty interesting. when I enable SFTP for RDP. I have made settings as per this video. The error throwing is The connection has been closed because the server is taking too long to respond. This is usually caused by network problems, such as a spotty wireless signal, or slow network speeds. Please check your network connection and try again or contact your system administrator.
Thank you for watching. Can you connect to the Remote Desktop machine without sftp enabled? It is important you make sure you have your firewall rule set, did you also add the username and password to the sftp connection settings? Does the user have permissions to login to the machine? Go to the windows machine and look at the event logs to see why the user is not authenticating and share so I can’t help.
@@geek2gether469 Yes, I can connect RDP without enabling sftp. I made sure that the admin user and password were correct. The only logs I found in event logs are logs when restarting the OpenSSH server. My guacamole is running inside a docker container on a Linux VM. Please tell me more about firewall settings.
Are you sure you are using a windows 10 version that supports RDP ? like windows 10 pro, education or windows server? It should be a really straight forward process if you follow the instructions in the video and have a windows version that allows RDP.
thank you for this Guacamole series

If you did not already do so you have to create a firewall rule on the windows machine to allow port 22 inbound.
I already did this but not working.

Apache Guacamole SFTP speed sucks!! It's very slow only 4-6 mbps, but same when done with winscp it is 100-300 mbps
Hmhm, I have not experience that issue before. Are doing this externally (via the internet) or internally(local network)?
