I believe it’s called sampling, all rap artists do it.

Clocked this the first time I heard it as the original track is on Ghostbusters. Awesome tune.

I believe in being fare. so I stayed up literally all night last night and here I am again...researching re-watching what your trying to relay. I dug deep. ... and now..I can honestly say I see your point. on EVERYTHING. and that's sad because I was a die hard die ant fan. I still love everything I knew then before I know now... but I don't think I'm going to be waiting on a miracle to happen anytime soon. I don't believe in magic. 🤜🤛

Thank you Carol. I never intended to participate in the comments as I rather people make up their own minds without my bias, but you've touched upon a point I would like to say, which is that it's an unfortunate state of affairs. There are a lot of good people who are DA fans and hurting those people is not a wish of mine, but rather an unfortunate side-effect of what's trying to be done here. Ninja is very much bad people who uses and abuses everyone to benefit his own means without consequence, and it's long overdue for something being done. Having said that, all the music is still going to be around for people to enjoy. I do believe in separating the art from the artist, and any good memories you hold of DA can still remain good memories. And on another note I'd just like to let it be known this account is not run or associated with Ben, Edwin, Zheani, or Tokkie. Right now remaining mysterious is a tactic that's very much needed. Regardless, thank you (and everyone else reading this) for seeing the light.

Genuine question, how can we tell if the sample was not legally cleared for permission to use?

I was on tour with them, while on the road they were trying to get the rights to release a cover "money and the power" from scarface. Their manager failed and Ninja said np, we just leak it for free to the public. Normal procedure for them. Also weather they got the rights cleared for the many songs they cover or not doesn't matter. They pass off other peoples work as their own all the fucking time, they did it to me too.

@@BenJayCrossman thank you for your response and clarification. And a good point about clearance or not the deliberate portrayal of it being their own work is immoral
