Love this band. Miss them a Lot.

11 years later and in still coming back to see this one. Damnit!
2024, still listen to this at least 3 times in a row. Does so much without having all the cymbals everyone else does. The groove, the funk, I miss Paul Seidel
This good sir, is probably my all time favourite drumming video on youtube. And I spent way too much time watching drumming videos.
Hope you already checked out All That Remains - "This Calling" Drum Cover by Stefano Reynoldz Brognoli
Yes, it's really good. But I prefer the powerful hard-hitting style of drumming, which Paul masters :)
You better watch videos of Jamie Saint Merat like this one : ua-cam.com/video/axw0Z44zdv4/v-deo.html. It's out of this world. He's one of the most creative metal drummers in my opinion.
what about the drumming video for Cuntcrusher
This song, the drumming, the production, the drum sound. Omfg it's so good
I come back to this video every few months to witness the majesty of Paul’s drumming
hey dude,
i actually have the spring tension pretty high... i love playing with the pedal rebounds, it makes it way more easy to play fast tempos. :)
THIS IS PUT TOGETHER PERFECTLY.
ohne scheiss, immernoch einer der besten Drumtracks ever!
Mega
Still love the way this snare sounds in this mix after all these years
i saw him play this everyday for a month on tour, sounds just like this
Doesn't matter how many times I watch this video, I'm always blown away
this guy is absolutely flawless.....never gets boring to watch....
Great Drummer. Great techniques. No gimmicks. I wish this young man the best success.
ive been listening to all kinds of metal and hardcore for 10 years, and this is the best drumming ive ever seen.
2024 still coming back for this sick drum idea and skill
I have watched this 6 times today, and i shall continue to watch it...again..and again.
This video is insane and i will stop at nothing to be this good
One of my favorite drummer! What AWFAHM will be without this genius?
I'm so glad to have this professional playtrough to enjoy!
This is so sick, brother. Well done! I’ve been working on it for three days, and I’ve mastered 80% of this song. I will master it TODAY, my friend! 🤨🤨 Been a fan of TOC and WFAHM, for a long time. You’ve informed my playing from the first time I discovered this incredible art! Much Love! 💯
Thanks dude!
what most people dont realize is that with the right microphones and EQ you can get the clicky bass drum sound without the use of triggers
This video and jimmy pino playing cowards deathbed are inspiration fuel.
This might be my favorite sick drummer video of all time.
sounds like a deathcore version of ulcerate!
+Isaac Zaladar I can definitely see that
Broo ur a hammer. Keep it up.
Man! I can't stop watching this video every day!
Fucking magnificent display of technique and patterns! Makes me want to kick back in my leather chair with a glass of fine wine..
A++++
Let's all take a second to admire how beautiful his kit is.
I have a huge man crush on this guy.
This guy is insanely precise. He's like a robot
This just became my favorite drumming video ever, oh my god.
one of the best drum video i have ever see...well done.
i comeback just after 6 years wowww still sickk this shittt mann
Just straight beast mode... the groove, the sick use of doubles. all around tasty
this guy is probably the best metal drummer ive seen holy crap
Still love this tune even after a decade...
That slide technique is nasty! damn makes that kit sound huge.
I'd love to enter this but unfortunately I could never be as good as this guy on my best day, all hail Mr Seidel
Thanks both of you (:! Your drumming is amazing paul !!!
5 years later I come back to this. Wow. Never realized it's just programmed Drum Kit from Hell to match his playing hahahahaha
it really is? so his playing in is video has not been recorderd?
It is? LOL but nevertheless Paul is an insanely gifted drummer
@@brownbear8936 An easy way to know is that the snare and toms sound triggered, but there are no triggers on them. That, or they've been heavily sampled.
asked this guy about this years ago and he just denied it LOL
@@Ironsvillage samus was joking. paul is and was definitly capable of this.
Hey... In that video, i'm using a Tama Starclassic Peformer B/B 13" x 6,5" Snaredrum. I'm currently playing a Tama S.L.P. Power Maple 14" x 6,5" Snaredrum though. ;)
gotta love those little vinnie-paul-bassdrum-fills. great stuff.
Paul's timing is perfect. Such a good song also
best i've ever seen! Paul, you rock!
WOW, Paul, nice work with the drums there ;) Fntastic !!
Damn nice unique rolls right there way to go bruh
10 years... where has the time gone
Always a pleasure to stumble upon this tasty video! Greets Paule! :)
im going to enter this concert. Paul is a beast.
Hail from the US Virgin Islands. I'm a reggae drummer but, listen to metal. I'm well known (where I'm from) for my ability to hear the most finest of accuracy & detail! You are a beast!!!!!
I absolutely love Paul's playing! So fuckin wicked and aggressive! And those drums sound absolutely orgasmic!! ...Undeniably heavy!
bro..sick as hell, major props to you!
Congrats Paul!!!! You are a very good drummer.. Hope to see you guys in Brazil someday!!! \m/
heavy and beautifully executed.
drumms sounded sweet mang.
Underrated.
this is like the best drum cover in the world
Good work Paul, keep it up.
the best.. great composition.. great
Grüße an dich Paul. Hatte dich mal Backstage im Skaters Palace getroffen. Feier deine Technik und diesen Song so brutal. Bitte bitte mehr von sowas. Eventuell seh ich euch ja mal wieder. Alles Gute! Basti
I've seen you play live, a long time a go, at OPorto! We shared the stage in a bar called ''metalpoint'' and my band played before WFAHM.
I can say that it was the best performance I've seen in my life, at least so close to me xD
You guys are AWESOME
This dude's in The Ocean?!
Yep
What a B-R-U-T-A-L drummer and an awesome guy :D cheers Paul!
You see the way he bobs his head? And winces throughout playing? thats him putting in his Effort and all throughout the song. There is emotion backing up his drum cover. Thats the reason why he probably covered it. Because he had a lot of emotion for this song to give it time to learn and play.
Killer! I'm Going to see you on Brutal Assault fest, cheers from Italy Paul!
well i own a pair of iron cobra power glides and they are sweet, had them for about 5 years now. i never owned a pair of pearl eliminators but i've played on a pair before and they were smooth. i personally like the cobras though because you can adjust the foot pedal height easily.
Talk about fabulous technique. Why isn't this guy being praised more?
I dont think you could have had a better drum sound for this recording, Paul. How fucking tight and yet still in-your-face does this sound. If I still had a set I'd give this a go. Really makes you want to get up and play.
Sehr geile Hand-Fußkoordination. Hut ab!!! Deine Tom-Arbeit finde ich genial.
This guy has groove, technique, style, fucking phenomenal drumming.
How the fuck do the drums sound this good.
Dario C
yeah triggers.... thats why there are microphones... this is a professional sound recording
I was about to write down the same comment... Man I love the sound of the snare...WOW !!
Post production my friend
The kick was triggered for sure!
EEEIIITHHHEEERR WAAAAYY this guy kicks ass, period.
9 years?! Whaaaat
A so fucking underrated drummer ...
damn he plays with power! awesome sounding kit too.
ridiculously good drummer
Hey Paul,
super Video.
Its a sleeve meant to keep your arm warm so that your muscles don't cramp. A lot of basketball players where they for the same reason.
2:56 I love stuff like that...
This dude nailed it
Hey Joe, i'm usually using my 14" Tama S.L.P. Power Maple Snare. In this video i'm using a 13" Tama Starclassic Performer B/B Set Snare. Sounds KILLER!
I want all the prices.
Hey Sickdrummer thanks for this great contest! Don't forget to aprove the latest video responses to make sure, Paul can see them all! :) Keep up the awesome work, Greetz!
nice sound, especially toms, gooood !!!!
premier cabria 5 piece, 16"crash 18" crash 14" hi-hats 20" ride (all zildjian ZBTs) (i am hoping to get some A-customs.) iron cobra rolling glide (i thought i bought powerglides but these are just as epic) i see you are a meinl fan and the mapex saturn is an amazing kit.
This is so awesome!
Hey Erik,
i've been using Iron Cobras for ages now and i have never had any negative experiences with it. I started with DWs and then switched to the Cobras.
I just feel more comfortable with them, but i guess it's everyone's subjective taste, that makes the difference. ;)
Really great licks
THIS IS SICK
Great song, great drummer...but foot cam always makes the video better!
So sick, the beats, omg.
Have that MB20 ride! So sick..
i agree, its hard to talk about 'taste' and 'style'. probably the only thing you can compare between drummers is speed.
I'm not a huge fan of the band, but this guy is beyond good! INSANE!
I like his tom placement. Since it's set up much more like a 4 piece, with a 10" closer to his hats, as opposed to just slightly offsetting two rack toms.
He is pretty amazing, I must say. Don't think you can ever say there is a best, I mean, metal has people like Matt Halpern, Tomas Haake, David Gray (Drummer of Akercocke/Voices and also worked with The Bezerker), Mario Duplantier, the guy in this video, Infreno (from Behemoth) and loads of others!
i found a normal 2/4 bass drum beat is hard, become quite stunned to see his foot movement
very nice
of course. if the springs are tight the pedal will "come back" more fast and then your feet just must catch the pedal.
sorry my bad english
how does one remember all this stuff when playing live?^^
btw. I love that this drumset isn't triggerd to death, like a lot of metal bands today use to do. Paul is awesome.
Still my favorite band from Germany!
Mapex Saturn 3 piece with a Mapex Black Panther Phat Bob snare (14x7)
Iron Cobra double bass
Meinl setup: 18" MB10 crash, 18" Soundcaster fusion crash, 18" MB20 china, 13" Soundcaster fusion hats and a stack consisting of a 14" Generation X filter china topped with a 10" Byzance extra dry splash :D
Yourself?
