Did the brushless ever flip over and was stuck upside down? Where I live they are only $10 difference. Self righting is a benefit if its does flip upside down.
Hello. Yes I've been testing loads of boats recently! Sort of got a bit obsessed :). I had a load of control issues with my 915 so it was returned. Although I wouldn't mind trying another one. I think you should when the time comes upgrade the motor, as you can make them silly fast!!!!
@@theminiatureconstructionco4556 Yep, that 915 I almost passed on completely after seeing the issues you had, but I figured I'd take a chance. And if it was bad, I'd just return it.. but it was on sale for 40% off, so I gave it a go. The one I got was the revised version '915-A' ..so it had some updated bits, but slower than the original. 👍
@theminiatureconstructionco4556 yea thats what I was thinking the upside of no prop to foul but I'm not sure if I can get replacement impeller for the jet if I suck up sand and damage it. How much thrust would you estimate the jet to produce? 1lb or more?
@theminiatureconstructionco4556 yea there was one with a different pitch for the impeller. I also found a large 55mm propeller metal for direct drive propeller shaft motor
Brushed is the way when we compared them we were very surprised, the brushed also has self righting and a small amount of reverse thrust unlike the brushless.
Hello! Get the brushed!!!! Its cheaper, just as quick, has a nicer transmitter, handles as well if not better, has a bit of reverse and has self righting like my colleague mentioned. In this case there is no advantage too buying the brushless, unless you like wasting money!!!!!
There is a jet boat you should look at it’s the Bancroft jet power sprint boat, it’s a 25inch brushless jet boat for a decent price
Thank you for the tip. I'll take a look. :)
There are very few videos online about it it would be cool if someone would go in depth about the boat.
@@IsaacSchultz-lz8jc I would love to but its a touch spendy.
Then try the tyxin 768 a 3s brushless boat more on the budget side.

@@DENSUTUBE2008 they are pretty stable if I remember correctly. Although I don't think it has self righting.
wow that's quick 👌👍love it 👍👍😀
The problem is the brushed version is just as fast. So its just not worth it!
Go Packers?!🤔😆Good review with some down to earth chaps 👍I learned a lot about these little boats since finding your channel
cheers fellow! you are getting that wlt dialed in now ,
@@grrfy Thanks! Pretty happy with it now.. I'm just not sure if I want to invest more into it and upgrade the motor 👍

Would the thrust be better with a proppeler version? Instead of the jet i want to use it for oulling a small gill net
I'm not sure. There is decent amount out of the back of one of these jet boats. No prop to foul in your net either?

@@RustyShakleford1 I think AliExpress may do spares. or buy the really cheap Tyxin version for a parts donor?
@@RustyShakleford1 not sure about the pull but its decent for that size boat.
I have 15ah 33140 cells i think theyre called theyre lifepo4 15ah gonna see if they fit in there without sinking it
let me know. 😀
@theminiatureconstructionco4556 i will do! I found larger propellers i could also swap in

Very good review looks like the brushed is the way to go
🔵🔵🔵🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍🔵🔵🔵
A very surprising result, brushed is alo self righting and has a bit of reverse.
Yep we were very surprised when we tested it that it really wasn't any better! Save your money and buy the brushed!!
this video made me sub. good job and cheers❤
Thank you very much and welcome aboard!!
I think the brushless is better on batteries tho
Yeah they are normally a little more frugal.
I’m getting the brushed one is brushless better or not for the price

@@FishingFosterr I don't think you will be disappointed. 👍
I think it is jut a tiny brushless system is for advertising
Hello. Your possibly right. Like Grrfy mentioned in the video, the 15A esc probably isn't up to much!
Maybe you should upgrade the Tyxin to brushless and then compare it and try to keep it in the same price range as the packer boat.
@@IsaacSchultz-lz8jc great minds think alike! stay tuned for another thrilling episode coming soon lol
I will
