Thank you for not skipping a single thing. I love how thorough these tutorials are
In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.
Thank you for putting up this video. Greetings from NZ.
Lot's of great info. It would be nice to see how it works while the boat is moving.
Keep´ em comming. Just purchased a Hook 9 reveal, and havent had a Lowrance unit in 15 years, so its all new to me 😊
How do you like your hook9 reveal I been looking for a unit and don’t know where to start
@@williammedley9673 I like a lot. Good value for the money here in Denmatk. Does everything i needs for my kund of fishing, wich is trolling and casting for searun browntrout.
Nice video, thanks.
Greetings from Estonia
*Looks good even in daylight **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it was exactly what it was described to be , works awesome , overall happy with product*
Got my first sonar some 20 years ago. Amazed that sea bed plotting technology is still so basic. People will soon land on Mars, but still are unable to plot clear picture of the sea bed.
Very helpful, clearly and concisely presented. Thank you.
Very said got my fish finder set just like his
Great video, are you going to talk about the genesis live funtion?
Thx 👍🏼
Best Videos found on the www for the Reveal thanks for the Input (bought also an Reveal 7 and waiting for my Boat which i get in 2 Weeks) ... i like to know how you can see the Fish on the Screen, what indicates you that it is a Fish and not a normal Object , That will be very usefull best Regards from Germany
Thank you for this video , it is Very helpful, clearly and concisely presented. Can you tell me,which is the best settings for squid fishing? Thank you.
I enjoyed the tutorial. I have a hook2 5. I note you can't get the maps on a 5 Reveal' and although it would be nice to combine my sonar and down scan to get the reveal I see no improvement to the side scan that would make it worth the money to upgrade.
When you have Fish Reveal on, do you also have the Overlay Downscan on as well? What's the advantage/disadvantage of having both on over just only fish reveal?
Scratch that last question, please. Too much trial & error finally resulted in it working-worked thru all the options in the simulation menu.
Hi Mate Day and Night Marine, just a question? Why would my SP Reveal 7 have a black screen when in Simulation mode. Once again thanks for all the assistance.
Just bought a 5 ss US/Can going to be looking forward to the downscan fish overlay reason I selected this unit
I just purchased the same unit for my kayak. What's your thoughts so far?
Alan Koop I’m still learning how to interpret it lol not as easy as I thought but it definitely works
Hi I tried going to your website but it’s “not found” .
Loving your videos as just buying the reveal 7 with triple transducer. But have a question for you.
What depths is this triple transducer good up to?
I live on east coast of Scotland and fish in a sib from coast and on the west coast of Scotland sea lochs too. Will the triple transducer be ok at our depths and can settings be changed to work on deeper water wrecks for example or would we be better forgoing the side view scan thing completely and get the normal 83/200 or 50/200 in stead.
I’m not worried if we can just use the sidescan part in shallower shore marks say up to 100 ft which we would be doing mostly, as long as the other scan can be deeper when needed,
Is this possible?
Hi, does this unit shows good pictures, fishes and bottom in deep salt water? 80-120mt or it is a very low power unit? I had lowrance carbon and hds3 in the past, but i do not know about this.
Thanks
Waiting for the 7 x TS
Reveal
I have a 1988 ranger 393v deep haul and step bass boat. For the life of me, no matter where I put this I cannot get arcs and I cannot read bottom on plane unless I tilt the trans wayy down
I have the Reveal 5, will you be going over the Navigation and marking waypoints? BTW, I do appreciate the videos I have seen....
Yes, I do plan on making videos for how to use the Lowrance and Navionics mapping for that display.
Help..we cant get the gps maps to down load on the hook7reveal.
Enjoy your vedios. ,would the 9Ts function like the revel ts
Thanks again
Do you mean the Hook2 Ts?
My hook reveal 7xts won't show bottom just white screen show mph and temp but not depth can power wires be involved. Ty
I have a lowrance 12" it comes on an it will go off before you can punch it in
hi question for you. im in Arizona if i go to one of are local lakes. will that lake come up on my hook reveal. and if i go to San Diego calif on the ocean will that come up... thank you
To be honest I'm not sure. It just depends. The Hook Reveal does have preloaded maps on it so you could always just scroll over to the area on your chart and see for yourself if it has detailed mapping or not.
Hi. I just purchased an older jon boat that has the Lowrance Hook 2 4X fish finder. I really enjoyed the detail of your video, but have a question. About 10-11 mins into the video you were showing fish symbols. I can see that the bottom is an orange/brown color and the fish are shown, but what are those other orange things streaked across the screen with blue on the bottom?? Looks to be in about 9-10 feet of water?? This video is 3 years old, so not sure if you go back and look for new comments. I'll check back to see if you answer this. Thanks
I will have to look and see. Are you talking about on this video or one of my Hook 4x videos?
Then black straight bottom, blocky
Can I get my Hookreveal to show the voltage level on my batteries?
Yes, that is an option in EDIT OVERLAY. Can be very helpful to have that on screen.
Does unit save all your settings when u unplug it and bring in to the house(storage)??
@@pepe65644 yes it has internal memory storage for that.
How do i send u a message just got a hooks 12ts have some questions
Have watch several of your vidoes
You can ask me on here if you want or send am email to nightanddaymarine@gmail.com
Why will my split shot hook reveal not hook up to transducer
Have you made sure to push it far enough it. If should push in past all of the little ribs on the side of the transducer plug. If you can see any of them sticking out, then u havnt pushed it far enough in.
What I understand is that all returns on your screen are history. How old they are is academic. The value of the ascope is it is what is happening now. If that is important to you that is a valuable feature. I saw a video showing strippers following a gigging bait. I think that is important because you were getting the fish interested but weren't getting strikes. Something needed to be changed.
jow do you set it up when your fishing at 200ft of water?? all I see are small dots
how do I set it up in 200 ft of water?? all I see are dots
