Interesting commentary about temperature and compound. We climb on sandstone cliffs here and I often get better traction when the rock is shaded. I never thought about why. I just noticed it seemed to happen.
I run predator on all my trail & rock trucks, all 4 seasons. They wear out sooner but can't go wrong. I run moab,3 peaks, white rocks, & st George . Occasionally Wendover. Haven't had a problem.
Very informative video. Thank you. I quickly liked and subscribed! I live in Colorado Springs and the Predator compound works great except on the hottest days we get here (85° to 95°) I’ll be checking out your store as well! (Thank you Kelly for sharing the link)
If you haven't tried the BFG mud terrains predator compound.......by all means do! My favorite so far out of 30+ tires. Great video thanks for sharing!
Ive run a bit of everything. I have some g8 swampers with 250 miles that still look good, and some predator compound tires that didnt make 50. Lots of sharp jagged rock in Southwest Missouri. Still like my J concepts tusk in the green(i have 3.93 and 4.75) and they do fantastic. Definitely questionable wear though.
I was looking at getting some krawlers in g8 since we don’t have but maybe 3-3 1/2 months of cold weather. I thought about the megalithics but I don’t know about the lug design it just doesn’t look right. I run the tusks now on my c1 and c2 plus the kids have them on their c2’s so new build will be something different. I would also love to see a straight axle vs portal axle video. I could do both but since I’m the one that built all the rigs my straight axle can do everything my portal build can but they also have different chassis, portal is a v3 and straight is a ATL pro v2 that being said my ATL has 5mm more clearance than the v2 so that makes up for the skid clearance.
I know I shouldn’t ask but I will. Could you do some sliders with the bug mounts for the carbon vrd? I know I know…get the coyote frame. But I just got the carbon and I’d like to run it for awhile before swapping
That bug is so cool! What shocks are you running? Just bought a Stance and one of the shocks puked it's guts already after less than four hours of use. Your car is awesome!
I’m really jealous of your place to drive. We have good places in Sweden to. But everything is like 200-300km from where I live. 🙈 when can I move to you? You have place? 😜
It does wonders for your stress it does wonders for your life honestly I'm not saying that just because saying it because it's the truth you know it is really helped me it can get away from you though it can get very addictive and very expensive
i started rc around the time i started anti depressants and i have been having a blast. the community online around it is so helpful. i haven’t finished watching this video tho im just replying
So I do not run much on the 10th scale side but I do run a lot of the 24th and some of the 18th but it's easier with my job or whatever the megalithic the other day he released them in the 1.0 and they've done amazing but then but then the Rock's got wet and they did not do so amazing
19:25 that's also how I always explain it to people that don't know. It's therapeutic and methodical. Lots of problem solving. I like it
Yeah I do CAD drafting so I like how you have to figure out the line crawling and where to place your tires
On our rocks predator compound always works better than g8 even when it's 100°+. But nothing beats jc green.
Agreed j concepts 10/10 in green label pro lines over rated
Best tire I’ve ever tried….rupture green

Awesome beetle crawler! I really need to learn those painting techniques. I just subscribed to your channel. 👍👍👍

I ordered a set of those and was surprised at how small they are. I think I ordered the wrong ones

Very therapeutic I want to do a build all my rigs are RTR
I would definitely love to see the BFG vrs Megalithic matchup. The megalithics are my favorite tire to date.
I have both. My vrd video build I used megalithics and was surprised at how great the tire performed
@DesertRockCrawler me too. I run them on my VRD, Scx10Pro and capra now.
Nice, I've always ran the predator compound. 😎😎👍👍

Congrats. Nice video. The 3d inserts support better the side hills 😉👌💪
Great video. I ruining Hyrax g8, but I've been trying out JConcepts. Tusk it green and liking them a lot. Stay safe

Or better yet for the Redcat ascent. I hate that truck body
@thepdc6220 if I did for either of those platforms it would have to be a 3d file you could print on you're own.
Should cut the chassis in the rear to match the body length closer

Thank you, traxxas big bores #2660 and l9si mini t springs. 35 wt oil all around soft springs front medium rear. 5 lbs 2 oz rig
Nice Video and cool Location😊🎉👌🏼
