Hey Nathan, Thank You again for your updates even if you did post a sideways video LoL, I just tilted my head to watch it :) I do have one serious question about the shops machinery, The Leather Belt's used are really old, 70-100 yrs old or more, so if one breaks, then what? If there is not enough slack in the belt to repair it, Does the FEBT have a local Supplier/Leather guy that can fashion a replica replacement? Do you piece in a splice? Could Kevlar or Nomex be considered as a better long term replacement and for real usage to run the shops equipment?
@@justingilmore5813 Great man !! I gave you my personal email before, I'll be happy to buy you a Go-Pro stick or something to help your video's out more, Your doing the footwork there and spending your time, the least i can do is support your effort's. And honestly, if you look at how the EBT was recorded back in the 1960 reopening, your videos and snap shots 60-years later will become a time piece in history. And when you compare the 1960 reopening to today's, What do you see? B&W photo's. no video, most of those associated with that even are deceased..... My God we are lucky both Milllie & Lee Rainey survived to see this day !! So what you are doing now is so very important from a historical perspective.. You are recording history.
I would also like to point out to all the E.B.T. Lover's out there, that besides the original effort of construction back in the 1870"s and the upgrades made during the time period of 1910-20, This is the biggest project on the E.B.T. in 100-years !! The original reopening back in 1960 was only 4-years after regular operations, so everything was still basically intact and in running order and the buildinds were all in good shape, so it only needed some track work back then. What your seeing here now is like defibrillator + mouth-mouth and chest compressions all in one !! So all you D&RGW, RGS, SR&RL's and WSLC guys look out !! THE E.B.T. IS COMING BACK !! WP&Y guy's, well your RR went diesel, so you don't count. Sorry
Very cool to see all the work going on and the History behind it all
me as well, it’s a very interesting process, stay tuned to see more.
How are the locomotives coming along? Will any be available for use in 2021?
Yes both 14 and 16 will be ready by 2021.

Yes we do have a supplier and if any break we replace them. Actually we have already replaced one or two.
And thank you for watching I will be doing your challenges you've given me on the 7th and 8th of November the next work session.
@@justingilmore5813 So when you say replacements have been made, they are keeping with the traditional leather belts that are brand newly made?
