I mean it is possible to run higher wattage bulbs off of a cfl ballast, However it certainly isn't advised. I have done so myself, with a 13 watt cfl ballast and a 30 watt fluorescent tube. Works perfectly fine if you use the right wire, however i have not tested the long term of it
There are (still) several problems with this design. First of all the glue gun glue will melt pretty fast (yes, even the fluorescent lamps get hot enough during normal operation to melt the glue) and thus the whole construction will fall apart during "normal" use (silicon adhesive would've been a MUCH better idea, although running the wires close to a heat source is still a big no-no). Second: the mod is REALLY dangerous, because all 120/220 volts of the mains are right on the terminals of that lamp. I won't recommend building this to anyone (electrocution is really not to be trifled with).
CoolKoon And no one said it wasn't. BUT, to play ping pong correctly, first one must use the right ball....and toss the boiled egg back in the lunch box where it should stay to be eaten and not paddled. Right? That's my point, FIRST and FOREMOST. The rest, such as rules and techniques, your dept. professor.
SwarthySkinnedOne "to play ping pong correctly, first one must use the right ball" - Ehm, I'm not sure if I get your analogy. How does ping pong relate to making mods that leave lethal voltage contacts exposed?
OM G "I had a really cheap IKEA lamp, and even a CFL bulb literally melted the plastic shade." - I only noticed this sentence now. I've modded one of my IKEA lamps to run on LED, but never seen one being melted by the heat of a CFL light. I did know that they suck, but never would've imagined they do this much....

Awesome idea. best way to recycle
Thnx for appreciate :)
from sri lanka 👍👍👍👍
Darun
Very very good sir ,
Very nice video thanks
Nice bro Good Job its very easy to convert CFL to Tube light..
Wow! It works. Use 1/2 PVC pipe clamps instead of hot glue and a terminal block connector in the tube light terminals
yes, nice suggestion, i will definitely make one improved version for this.
great you made better then CFL nice buid qulty.
Very Nice Video. Greetings from Germany
Wow Very Nice Sir....👍
if i have a 20W cfl should i use a 20w fluresent lamp

go on and retract your comment man, as I have with mine. They amended the title and description to a more appropriate one. retracted mine
SwarthySkinnedOne All right, I changed my comment. Unfortunately my main point (i.e. that this mod is dangerous) is still valid.
CoolKoon

Great. But I want to know which is positive and negative in each case please. Thanks
Good
Long tfl का लाइट अच्छा रहता है! इस लिए good है मुझे अच्छा लगा लकिन ग्लू के जगह प्लास्टिक बेल्ट भी use कर सकते है
nice work. i mean cool idea n you got a new subscriber
Very good Aayega
Bro used some protective seal at the soldering ends, otherwise it may be dangerous for the users :)
Anyways great job 🙂👍🏻

Super Lamba
wow good work
mast idea
सुपर
Wow so nice
Awsm
But how much volt is that tube light
Good.
I have done this in 2012 still working.... make sure the tube light is of less watt as that of CFL to keep going and better light
Thanks for sharing your experience :)
Super happy to day
Very useful

Good yaar
We cant use glue stick because the tube light is going to be hot... right or wrong?
nice
aure vasantha rao hi I'm hn
Bahi genius brain
Is there no matter of positive/negative points in the whole circuit? If yes than how can we recognize which is positive or negative?
Fantastic
Thnx Pratik :)
Do I have to shave my hands and knuckles like this guy before doing this?
Wow thanks amazing vedio
Good job !
Nice DYIn (y) ♡♡♡
Ela
Is ki heat se glue nhi melt ho gi kay.
Wow amazing what an idea bro
Nice....
