Pan seared steak finished in the oven

  • Thick steaks cut from an eye round roast. Pan seared in olive oil, then rested in a 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes. $4/lb, totally tasty and tender. Medium to medium rare.
    You can adjust the rest time in the oven to get rare, medium rare, etc., as you wish.

      That was Aspen, our very loud deaf cat. 3 cats. She meows the best of them all.

    They look delicious! I’ve never thought of doing that with the roast. I buy those exact Roasts on occasion

      That's if you are having guests and don't want to cut into a steak that will be served. Guarantees perfection. And you can use that spare one for sliced beef sandwiches the next day.
