Yesterday (December 30, 2024) I received my final rating decision and I am 100% P&T. The guidance, wisdom and information from your videos was a big help in getting there. Thanks for what you do for all us vets. Hope you have a great 2025!
Got a surprise when I woke up this morning. Got a 60 percent bump yesterday. Still waiting for more claimed items to be decided on. I find it weird that they would split up the decision like this. I still have exams scheduled for next week. Either way super happy.
Good day to you Clay I really appreciate the help you do for veterans I have a lot of confusion on what to do I wish I could talk to you in person and tell you my story
@TheCivDiv You know certain turds are on the VA radar. Their name appears in your file & you are guilty ever after. You ought to come forth and say how much you getting. Why don't you go to school and get accredited ? Same with the beard. I have to defend you too fucks because you were Marines. Anyone makin' money off of disabled vets life should be forfeit. That's all I'm going to say about it.
I think stressing one's insomnia as part of their anxiety is the way to go. It's hard to imagine insomnia without anxiety. Highly recommend folks get seen for that.
Clay, thanks for all the great info, but I can't find the video on PTSD and taking meds. I'm 100 p&t and taking meds for PTSD and inhalers for bronchitis. My question on meds for PTSD: How will this impact me on my exams? Some days, the nightmares aren't as bad, and some nights they wake me up I listened to your video on how to talk to your VA doc for advice
The medication and regards to mental health was focused on the mental health rating change that is not effective. So we are talking 2 different things here. Focusing on this comment, if you're rated at 100% for mental health alone, your provider is likely highly suggesting medication as well as other treatment. That is a you and your provider discussion. There is no way I can weigh in on that. As for medication, the VA is suppose to rate your symptoms and include your symptoms post treatment. This is EXTREMELY subjective. - Clay
Clay, I'm 100 percent PTSD terminate and 30 sinuses, 30 bronchitis for 27 months total in Iraq and Kuwait, If I understand you and the cfr. Medication if helps can get my rating changed if it is helping. And post-evaluation can happen. 0:55 I tried to find ur you tube on this but wasn't able, I seeking Va or private counseling to help me. Your honest advice is appropriated
@Deimian676 not Clay, but willing to share an opinion. Will your unrated condition contribute to your demise? If not, no don't poke. If you've been rated 100% P&T for 10 years, no as well. The only thing I would go after is a potentially life-ending condition that would allow my wife to receive Dependent Indemnity Compensation.
I have mild sleep apnea with a CPAP, would it be wise to make a claim? I am currently rated at 90% static for PTSD, rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, and tinnitus. I just don't know if I want to poke the bear and get reduced somehow. Anyone have any advice or experience?
Yeah, you can file claims for insomnia either direct or secondary and you should. However, the way the VA rates insomnia has changed as discussed. - Clay
Puns? This is where my reality check bounced because when under stress, puns happen. With my musculoskeletal and neurological problems - I told my physical therapist that my bones are really getting on my nerves. I'll try to stop there for now before this comment turns into a neverending series of Battlestar Sciatica. Sorry if that's not what you meant.
It at all. Go for it. Be sure to submit your evidence-based claim. Now OSA secondary to PTSD if denied, depending on the reason you may consider a nexus letter but I roundly unless denied. You can upfront, no harm no foul. - Clay
@ thanks I hav a c&p coming up next Wednesday and will attend any suggestions for research on the dbq’s for DBQ CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME DBQ GENERAL MEDICINE - GULF WAR DBQ SLEEP APNEA
When I claimed sinusitis I was denied. I thought that when the PACT act was passed last year sinusitis (and a bunch of other conditions) are now presumptive service connected if you are on the burn pit registry. So I submitted another claim and was denied again. Anyone else have this happen? Not sure why I got denied again……it should be automatically service connected right?
Dude I have so many videos scheduled it’s not even funny. I figured for the EoY a recap with everything in 1 place would help veterans. Why do you sit when you pee? - Clay

That is a great suggestion and I will do that

You're selling nexus letters. Sharma and Patel will be in the purple book soon if not already.
Yeah that’s not a real thing. DBQs and IMOs are either actionable and sufficient or they are not

Clay, thanks for the updates on the updates. It’s a lot to take in, for sure.
If don’t see you on here tomorrow, Happy New Year 🎊🎉 brother 😊🙏🏻 🇺🇸
Thank you very much
I think any changes the VA makes are intended to save the VA money
Appreciate you brother
Are we grandfathered in for existing ratings?

nothing for sure wording still vague in proposal, his opinion was meds helping could reduce rating

@ I actually have a question for you clay. I am a 100 percent PT but I haven’t been properly rated for radiculopathy . What would you do .
@Deimian676 not Clay, but willing to share an opinion. Will your unrated condition contribute to your demise? If not, no don't poke. If you've been rated 100% P&T for 10 years, no as well. Based on this comment alone, I would submit the SA claim secondary assuming you don’t have evidence direct.
- Clay
Hooah !
Vestibular migraine testing spins you around so i see a gravity test. Not so sure about the other mental ratings.
I just talked to the DAV representative yesterday and he said they’re still filing claims for insomnia. ?
Yeah, you can file claims for insomnia either direct or secondary and you should. However, the way the VA rates insomnia has changed as discussed.
- Clay
I’m still waiting on board it’s been almost 5 years
Do these changes impact veterans who have already been rated?

Talk about a knee jerk pun fired off.
So will tinnitus go away or geandfathered
Check the Am I Safe in that playlist. All scenarios are covered and the answer is very nuanced depending on you. DC gone, your rating good.
- Clay
@TheCivDiv Thanks brother, hope you and family had a good holiday.
Will my 10% tinnitus be grandfathered in?

So I was planning to secondary OSA with my PTSD. Should I just dump the idea and focus elsewhere?
It at all. Go for it. Be sure to submit your evidence-based claim. Now OSA secondary to PTSD if denied, depending on the reason you may consider a nexus letter but I roundly unless denied. You can upfront, no harm no foul.
- Clay
So should I just claim insomnia, and not secondary to anything?
That depends on your evidence. You either have insomnia direct evidence or you don’t.

Do you have any videos on Gulf War Illnesse?

You need to meet PACT Act criteria (not burn pits) and have a current/chronic Dx.
- Clay
@ thanks Clay……very helpful. Great stuff you are doing.
All the changes are bad, seems like strategy to get folks maxed out 80% or less.
project 2o25 will change all this
you're all straining the system with your b/s claims. hope you all get denied
Booooooooooooo

36 trillion reasons yer wrong...
The dude is stuck on repeat. Loosing content ideas are we?😅
Looks like someone has taken the red pill. 😛

@TheCivDiv Because you get pee splash everywhere, it's less of a clean up.😅
Can you show us your content if you have something better?
