- This epic wooden coaster now features a backwards facing final car! Riders can pay an upcharge to face the opposite direction as they experience the reimagined Zeus roller coaster. This CCI layout now features retracking and reprofiling from the Gravity Group- and its running better than ever!

Backwards facing back row is a really cool idea that I think should be implemented on a lot more coasters. It definitely makes for a more extreme ride experience.
I get pretty nauseous going backwards, that's a no from me dawg
Imagine rmcs with a backwards train
I never understood backwards riding it kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion
@@korlu01 it makes for a much more wild and unpredictable experience, which some people love
@@SmileBullet I just like seeing where I’m going. I feel you get to appreciate the coaster’s layout more and go for the actual intended ride rather than just feeling the momentum of the train take you any which way without you knowing. But that’s just me, to each their own
This looks like a really cool wooden coaster. Not to mention sitting on the backwards seat gives you that feeling of not knowing the elements about to happen. I hope i get to check it out soon.
I don't know about you guys, but this had me saying "oh my god, that looks insane" alone in my house
Sarah's laugh is killing me 😂😂😂
So that’s where the Pantheon theming went
This looks fun as hell!
I think it's the best way to get the first ride ever on this, I did it, and I maybe wouldn't have had such fun if I knew the layout!
I feel like riding this in the back for the first time would be really weird you wouldn't know what's even happening.
I didn’t even know this existed! That looks awesome!
This looks insane
this coaster hauuuuuls
Her laugh is what made that video
Oh my goodness that ride was awesome . You guys are awesome stay safe.
i just came back from my trip to parc asterix and got the chance to ride it backwards! it was incredibly and so funny, i laughted the whole time! great experience!! i think more coasters should to this, just turn a few seats around! some coasters like Wodan at Europapark or Hals über Kopf at Tripsdrill would be awesome to ride backwards! :)
I finally made my way back to Kentucky Kingdom after 20+ years, and was absolutely blown away by Lightning Run. Sure enough, you made a video praising it 5 years ago. Rode it 13 times in 2 days with my daughter. I don't know why there aren't more like it.
Uhhhh... why are you commenting that here? This video has nothing to do with Kentucky Kingdom
@@gatornationforlife2001 Yeah, not the right video though, if this was a Kentucky Kingdom video then yeah, go ahead, but this isn’t even remotely close, this is just a POV of a coaster in another country
@@gatornationforlife2001 « just chill out », does he look mad
More wooden roller coasters should have this feature!
Lol I can hear Sarah screaming 🤣
Lol better theming than Pantheon in that there is some.
That's so cool this has backwards facing seats, Leviathan at Sea World in Australia is like this!
I think Sarah liked it. 😂
So simple but idk why this ain't implemented on many new coasters or especially wooden ones if you stagger the seats for/bac there's a nice added touch to ride the ride both ways.
This reminds me of backwards Rolling Thunder at GA, which I STILL miss. ☹
more parks should do this
Instead of RMC, do you think it's possible that once heralded coasters like Magnum at CP could have a tilt added?? I just think that'd be awesome. Jmho
What do you mean by a tilt?
The laughing made it for me
Oh WOW, that tunnel was ..not even close to being as COOL AF as it was going forwards. Almost, ALMOST, the worst backwards tunnel ever ..AF.
There’s not a lot of « backwards tunnels » in the world, so appreciate what you already have before complaining
Woah!!
I wanted to get on this before the retract now I want to more but I doubt I’ll ever go to park Astrix
So if it's better facing forward and the backs the best, does that mean the second to best row is the best place to sit?
Wasn t tonnere to rough? Especialy the back row??
Shawn from theme park worldwide just realsed vlog from parc asterix saying it was waaay too rough
Looking at your pov and his. It really looks better and not rough in your pov. Is it down to camera or was it not rough while you were there???
I didn't think it was bad at all! It had a couple rough spots but some parts of it were really smooth actually! I loved the coaster, I'm shocked he didn't like it
Imagine B&M hypers in reverse!
Hollywood Dream at Universal Studios in Osaka has a backwards train!
@@CoasterStudios Oh yeah, forgot about that one! I wish some coasters in the states could get that treatment! Imagine how cool the splash-down would be on Diamondback in the back car!
Imagine steel vengeance or iron gwazi in reverse
@@AlexLikesToons Diamondback would probably be more difficult to flip than the standard 4-wide B&Ms.
Hey have you ever rode king da ka and if so what is your opinion?
yes! You can hear our full thoughts on it in this review: ua-cam.com/video/n4ods5EbW_A/v-deo.html
I wish ghost rider at Knotts had this
Man, is THIS WEIRD!
They should reverse steel vengeance
Apparently TPW is not a fan, however to me, it looks fantastic.
Weird, cause we LOVED it
I am glad to here that!
The rear facing car is interesting... but why is it an upcharge?
Because it only seats 2 people, the demand for it would be so high that it would over run their capacity, so they had to put it behind a paywall
@@CoasterStudios Doesn’t that Warner Bros Park in Australia have that hyper coaster with rear facing rear seats for free?
@@coastaku1954 No, I believe it is an upcharge there as well
@@CoasterStudios Huh, the more you know
@@coastaku1954 yeah it’s like $10 to ride DC Rivals backwards. I wish I did it when I visited
Thats one way to double your sawdust budget.
Annoying how you have to pay to go on the back
Too bad that the ride is rougher than it ever was with the new trains and track work. Sad failure.
never experienced it before, but the only rough parts to us were the parts where it hadn't been retracked. All the parts with the new track were glossy smooth
@@CoasterStudios actually everything was retracked except some straight parts (there is a illustration on RCDB explaining it), but it was made over 4 years and the old PTC trains were not adapted to the new profile of the rails and the timberliners are new from this year, that's why some parts are bumpy
