If you miss it you can go back to where that cart you had to jump over, an instead go down the large stairs an thru the left gate an mine it real quick. Dont forget to add keys to key ring after quest is complete

Thanks for another great guide! Wish I had read through the comments first, to have caught the info about the mithril achievement, but it's ok I'll get to it eventually. But as someone who had already done two of the Myreque quests, you can use that shortcut (through the trap door behind the bar, through the tunnel, up the tree, to the boat) to Burg de Rot instead of having to run through the entire swamp south....for anyone who might be starting this quest after those two that is, and have Not yet played the mini-game to activate it on the games necklace.
Recently did this on a very low level ironman, so fyi - if you die to the boss before you pick the key up from the crate, you'll have to smuggle and pick another glowing fungus through the cart. Nice guide! Big fan, you have been so helpful.

If you are pulling the levers and they are not changing the direction of the arrows, send the mine cart and try again after. This happened to me and the only fix was to send the cart and get the glowing fungus again.
that goddamn point setting screen had me scratching my head for 10 minutes took me a while to figure out that my main screen is boosting the colors so hard that all the arrows looked like theyre full red

Update: Necromancy does not do damage to the final boss. You will have to leave and redo the lever system. Quests are fun
I just did the boss with necromancy, but maybe just my skeleton did damage ?

By the way,if you can't hit the boss with necromancy,just switch to legacy mode! It seems that only necro auto attacks can hit him.

You'll need to do the quest Nature Spirit. It will grant you access to the swamp.
Walk around the gate. that's how I got to barrows to get the unified barrows ectoplasm
