Management of Preeclampsia | PIH | Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy | Nursing Lecture

Preeclampsia is a hypertensive disorder that develops due to the gravid state of the uterus, in this video, the management of this disorder is explained here.
It depends on the weeks of gestation, and the severity of the condition. Here the schematic presentation is given on the basis of the below conditions.
1. Mild preeclampsia with no ominous sign
2. Persistently increasing BP after using Hypertensive Drugs
3. Severe Preeclampsia with an ominous sign or other complications.

We had 140 100 as our BP on 23rd week. Unfortunately were not given any anti Ht drug. It resulted in increase of HT..swollen face and feet. Later we got admitted in hospital but BP couldn't be controlled and protein loss as 3+ and no betamethasone was given. Later pregnancy was terminated at 28weeks and we lost our child.
QUESTION: Do you think if we were given labetol at the inception of high BP that is on 23rd week...the situation could have been better? Is it that if BP was lowered on 23rd week itself by the drugs, protein loss would NOT take place. Please respond mam coz this was our first baby after 10 years of marriage.

Yes woman faces difficulty with such disease, but this doesn't mean that she cannot conceive, Your Dr. will better care for you and manage you properly with such disease.
