I got so excited when I found a copy of "Such Nice People" in a local used bookstore for only $1.50!!! According to Grady Hendrix, that is one of the most difficult "Paperbacks from Hell" to find, and it goes for a LOT of money (often 3 figures!) on sites like eBay and on Amazon third party. You have an awesome collection!!
Oh what a cool factoid!! I did not know that! I had no idea it was listed as a PfH until I brought it home so it was indeed a lucky find for us both! Thank you! I need to do a follow up video- my collection has grown!

Typical Libra Books PFH was certainly a treat for horror lovers everywhere! Oh that’s so good to hear!! I know from most I trust who have read it say it’s one of their favorite gothic horror’s of all time! I’m saving it for when I get to Harrowing Horror. I was skeptical on Blackwater at first because it came off a bit Bourne to me; I’m hoping it a pleasant surprise!

The two books by Chet Day are extremely hard to find. I'm still on the hunt for them. Especially Halo. I broke down and bought the ebook for it bc I really want to read it but it has a horrible digital cover.
A lot of these I have heard about or read, but don't own. As for the YA books Caroline B. Cooney was my favorite along with Christopher Pike and R.L. Stine before he wrote Goosebumps. I was actually thinking of making a video about the plastic tub in my basement that holds books from my youth. Horror is in my blood, I don't know if I read it as much as I used to, but I love them just like the horror movies of 80's. Hey, I'm going to be 40 next year, too! You talked about it on Bethany's channel. Also, you made a lot of good points on that discussion about consumerism. No one should be judged or shamed, only respect should be going on when it comes to the love of books. I refuse to have a Twitter because of the negativity it produces. I hope you make more videos soon, but for now I will watch your older vids. 😊❤️❤️❤️

This community has its good and bad days but despite the negativity I mentioned during the LIVE I’m happy to say it’s been more positive and I have forged some amazing Friendships here. I would love to see what your plastic tube holds! I love connecting with other macabre enthusiasts and appreciators. Especially when they have roots planted in the genre. I’d love to do a video focused on the YA of yesteryear. I have a fairly substantial R. L. Stine catalog but sadly I let my Pike’s go when I was younger so I’m slowly finding them again. I will be making more content! @@KamisKorner Lol...I am long-winded as well and, yes, there are so many wonderful Booktubers out there that I am finding. I know for sure Caroline B. Cooney is in there and I think I have at least one or two Pike's. There is however one book that was considered an adult book, but I read it when I was 12 or 13, The Oddkins by Dean Koontz, cute and might be scary story, but the illustrations are beautiful. It's like the darker side of Toy Story before Toy Story existed. He did a Christmas book like The Oddkins, same illustrator, too, but forgot what the book was called. Born and raised on horror because of my mom, books and movies. Lot of Stephen King which eventually I will tackle. My first intro to King was basically the comic or graphic novel of Creepshow, I still have it somewhere, but it's falling apart because I read it so much and I was between 6-8 years old when I stole it from my mom's bookcase. She let me keep it and the love of reading horror began, was already watching the scary movies, my favorite, Freddy Krueger because he really did scare the crap out of me. I y hoping to do that video next weekend when my little dudes are visiting their dad. Let me know if I can spam my channel in another comment. I only have three videos up so far and am planning to tape a lot Friday and Saturday night. I don't have anything horror yet, that comes next month...lol, but my second video I get serious about two different issues. I can tell it's not the best video, but still learning. 😊❤️❤️❤️

I did one of those super girly, look around to make sure no one just saw me, squeals when I saw you were doing this. I love Alex and her video and was so excited you did this too!! I have been lucky enough to find most of my collections in the wild, I collect point horror and all the creepy old middle grade books as well as Goosebumps and Fear Street. I seem to find V.C. Andrews everywhere in NC at thrift stores so I always snag them. I haven't found as many good horror books in the wild in the past year though, I hope my luck changes. It's the best feeling when you see a Gem on an old dusty bookshelf at a thrift store or used book store like it was just sitting there waiting for you. Amazing video Ghoulfriend! Xoxoxox 🖤🔪🖤🔪🖤🔪
