    Nice creativity, but that amount of fish in this pond will die shortly or be miserable. People don't realize but Koi fish likes deep water for security and temperature regulation. Also, it seems heavily overstocked for the amount of swim space. Instead of Koi, I'd suggest smaller schooling fish.
    The central piece is a nice gimmick but if the water just passes over the media instead of through it, no real filtration is being made here, also, it takes much space that the fish would be happier with.
    The location of this pond is also bad, it is over concrete, with a layer of brick and concrete, it will get HOT, specially if this video is from Vietnam, where I think it is, and there it gets very hot, that amount of water will probably cook the fish, but perhaps that is the goal?
    The brickwork was nicely done, but the raw brick gives a unfinished look. Also, some epoxi sealant on the inside would not hurt since concrete and bricks are very porous, that water will need constant replenishment due to evaporation.
    Nice gimmick, but I'd pass on it.

      I like the design. It's like a miniature creek. I'd fill the central spaces with rocks and have the water come in at the top and leave at the bottom to go to the next space. I don't know what that media is, but I don't like it. Use rocks and add wild pond water. Get some worms and crustaceans in there. Then you need some rocks and and a lot of plants in the main area, and use minnows, not koi. I agree also that the koi will be miserable....

      They won't be in there long enough to die. This guy keeps building these things, knocking them down and building another one. If you look at his channel there are multiple thumbnails with the same wall in the backgrounds. Same wall, same plants. In older videos it is a different wall but the same MO with multiple different fish ponds with the exact same wall in the background.

      @Paul-st2wv 10 місяців тому

      @masterspin7796 calcium hydroxide isn't toxic. It can make balancing the pH difficult initially, but reduces over time as the concrete cures. Calcium hydroxide is added to water all the time in treatment plants to reduce hard water corrosivness to plumbing and to help remove other heavy minerals. Lots of drinking water tanks and cisterns are made of concrete. It's definitely a better option than plastic or urethane based sealers in steel tanks used for drinking water.

    • @RodCalidge
      @RodCalidge 10 місяців тому +3

      @@nickzhaosun cement is toxic when first laid and new tanks at reptariums and aquariums, even zoos have to fill the habitat fully with water, and let sit for a few weeks to help leach out the toxins in the cement. Then they fully drain it and let sit dry for a week, up to a month before they refill and set up for actual plants and animals to live in. Bamboo, palm and banana are all very porus and suck up water, helping to act as a natural filter to absorb the toxins.

    Центральная часть - хороший трюк, но если вода просто проходит через наполнитель, а не сквозь него, здесь не происходит никакой реальной фильтрации, кроме того, он занимает много места, что будет более приятно рыбам.
    Расположение этого пруда тоже неудачное, он над бетоном, со слоем кирпича и бетона, будет ГОРЯЧО, особенно если это видео из Вьетнама, где я думаю оно и есть, и там становится очень жарко, вот так воды, вероятно, приготовит рыбу, но, возможно, именно в этом и состоит цель?
    Кирпичная кладка выполнена хорошо, но необработанный кирпич выглядит незавершенным. Также не повредит немного эпоксидного герметика внутри, поскольку бетон и кирпич очень пористые, и вода будет нуждаться в постоянном пополнении из-за испарения.

    정화한 물이 밑에서 나와야 정화가 되는거 아닌가요? 윗물이 그대로 옆으로 가면 정화하는 의미가 있나요?

      @@bjornwarnitz5761 What do you mean "a space without water"?? They need rocks and plant life, something overhanging, so they can hide.

    Very pretty, but only suitable for plants. The water level is far FAR too shallow for koi and there are significantly too many. You should be looking at one koi for around every 2000 litres. I would be surprised if this even comes to 1500.

    So... A super shallow koi pond, with what's got to be one of the ugliest fountains in the middle. And I'm pretty sure that cement releases chemicals when it is wet.
