yeah, as they were cheapest 4060ti16gb and they used to be a different teir to the 3090, but now, as a customer, what would you prefer to pay 10cents an hour for a 4060 or a 3090....... but mine still earn "OK" and some still get higher PRI jobs
One thing i am starting to notice is SSD/NVME TBW usage. With all the containers constantly being downloaded and erased its using available TBW a little faster. Kind of like chia did during plotting. Might be a investigative video for you to pursue. Thanks for all the updates, I do enjoy!
shout out from Green Bay! i lived in palm bay for a year, florida deff isnt what is was a few years ago. trump 2024! anyway.. good update, still think you should check out vast, could help walk you through the set up. uptime>unicorn jobs
I have a 4060Ti 16gb , Im not suggest buy it. Yes can do 4.11$ but the jobs last a few hours at best , VERY rare that card do a full day (never see a single day). Based on my experince (support by my data) this card average 1/1,2$ a day , like a 3060 wich cost half the price. Maybe Im just unlucky...but I dont think so.
yah, i wouldnt really recommend buying anything specially for salad. but for trying to build something cheap, flexible, isnt out dated yet, and should be good for a few more years in the future, i still think the 4060ti is the best bet, until there is a super cheap 50 series card with a stupid amount of vram like the 4060ti 16gb or 3060 12gb
Salad can consume 400-500 mbs pretty easily on a container, especially when a job spins up. I see active containers consume this as well occasionally.
4090 high was supposed to be 6.6usd per their spreadsheet. fingers crossed... lol

my 4090 machine is making 6.27 a day right now and has been for i think 8 days in a row now
Nice one, I don’t think it’s worth it considering the electricity cost ..?
i pay about 14 cents/KWh, so i net $800 last month. the electric usage isnt that bad. it rarely pulls more than 20% of the gpu usages.
