    I have been experimenting with the deconstruction of these units and take this as just a suggestion but I have found that cutting off the top of the interconnect pins with some surface cutting side cutters so the cut is at right angles to the pin expansion area reduces the friction on the through holes allowing the top board to be removed with little force. The board can be reinstalled and the pin connections resoldered as they are still slightly protruding from the board. I am looking at the option to either replace the pins with straight ones or compress the pin expansion so the pins could be desoldered if need be. If you resolder the pins with a press fit you will never be able to unsolder them. Personally I cant see the point of only resoldering one end of the pins so I am investigating how to get the bottom board off as it is glued to the case, at this point I dont have a solution. FYI my problem is with a Renault Clio IV which has the exact same TCM but obviously different software so I am using this Ford unit to understand how I might have a go at fixing my Renault unit as its intermittent.

      @campbellmorrison8540 that's an interesting approach. Would definitely try that in my next run.
      I'm now inclined toward the TCM failure not because of pins but something else.
      Did you try putting in ford unit in Clio? The manufacturer is Getrag so I can't think of a reason where a different software is used for different cars.

      @@RZJugaar No I haven't but I would bet when connecting to the TCU it will send out the ford description and the Renault controllers will error. The actual code is very likely the same but the descriptor will be different. I believe this having watched FORScan software being used to reset a ford TCU, the first thing it does is read the descriptor

    Hi! It looks like youre from Aus. I watched your other video with the circuit board identification. Would you know what MOSFET would be responsible for the Input speed sensor 1 and input speed sensor 2? Both of mine are displaying faults on the Autel.

      @RZJugaar  28 днів тому

      @sara78130 you should have focused on the error codes to diagnose the problem and then fix it. If you have we already opened it then I suggest checking the forks if are sticky.. maybe replace them. Since you are describing your problem as intermittent, the issue maybe with the TCM.

    hi,..my dps6 is bunrnin the hall sensors, iss1, issb and oss. not at the same time...2 or 3 days between the failures. I check cables, conectors, after change 3 times the sensor, i change the tcm, resolve for 1 month, and the problen return, now the sensors buning with 1 ou 2 week diffrences time. Detail, the abs light is on, turned on when the problens start. the abs code is u3000:49. sometime the ligth turne off and at the same time the tcm ligh turns on. I didin´t find any wire in commun with abs and tcm, I thing just the can communication, but not directily. The wheels sppedy is ok and in the same values(check by scanner in the road)...any tip?

    • @RZJugaar
      @RZJugaar  Рік тому

      I can't find any find any connection between TCM and ABS . Agreed but U3000:49 points to power steering motor failure. No issues with your power steering?
      I would suggest start looking into potential wiring issues. maybe plug in an Oscilloscope and drive around. look for potential spikes in voltages.

    hi sir i got a code in my car tcm error. i just did the ground mod and grounding kit install due to bad factory grounding on this model and code is clear for now.
    But im still afraid that tcm may be getting spoiled soon i dont know. if i put a junkyard tcm does it need reprogramming? will the ford dealer do it?

    • @RZJugaar
      @RZJugaar  Рік тому

      What code are you getting? What year is your focus? If you are using junkyard TCM then you don't need special reprogramming. It is adaptation rather than programming. just put in and start using it. It'll adopt to your transmission soon enough. Dealerships wont put used parts in. Before going down that path, make sure that your TCM is the culprit.

    7.00: that is a cool solder joint, cant do that is incorrect, in there you need a 80W~100W solder iron fine tip, and to preheat the pcb board before start soldering. hot air station is advice.

      @@marissaclarkson3128 There are no aftermarket TCMs. Chinese ones are salvaged parts cleaned and painted. Dorman TCMs are salvaged, opened, cleaned and soldered and then resealed.
