These folks really did a fantastic job, best year yet :) And it was just a perfect mix of people present to talk and get things done with those trees finally. Add in my very overbearing American nature, and I walked straight up to who I've been needing to reach for a while and said "Hey follow me and look at these trees." The hospice likes that I am never at risk of losing a paycheck. So sometimes I say things in front of people that just need to be said, without hiding behind diplomacy.
Hey there Mr. Keyes. I’m no armchair expert when it comes to felling trees. I have only limited experience. Seems you’ve got half the battle covered , which is understanding there’s significant danger and that you need help. The other part the experts can help with is the experience to know what to do and how to do it. I can tell you understand this. So many surprises await, take care! :). Good to see you had so many hands helping out to make quick work of it.
I have been advised by many who are close to me not to even attempt these trees :/ in this late of a decayed state they are too dangerous and unstable for anything less than a top --> down chainsaw cut. But as for those volunteers.... DUDE! I'm still smiling :)
Good thing that there is progress on trees! Also, congratulations on the successful volunteering action!
