Gives new respect for how powerful those guns really were. Most impressive! I recently heard on a TV show, though I can't recall which one, that the musket could rip right through a log cabin wall at 100 yards. Seeing this video I can see how that could be true.. Dam!
If ever you try a naked Ball for the fun of it, it's nice to fell how 90% of the recoil just disappears...you can literally fell how much power uselessly blows past the bullet :) PS: pretty ballsy move to smoke a Torpedo-sized Cigar whilst shooting :D
Love your video but watching you handle your cigar with the blackpowder made me very nervous just watching it! It did make you look cool though but you would have been cooler without the cigar :)
Good video but i kept waiting in one of your charges to go off in your hand because of your cigar lol

The soft lead ball fragmented on the third shot !!
They leave the barrel at about the same time but I believe they part company soon after. It's a short but explosive relationship :)
does the paper stay with the ball as it flies?
wow, and I always thought that muskets weren't very powerful
Smoke and gun powder? Bright!
Muskets were used for centuries, exactly because they were powerful :)
Lol u don't smoke and load muskets lmao

Nope it acts as a sabot and flies off as it leaves the barrel
