When a youtuber really goes to Mexico 🇲🇽 😳 to race wow 🤘🔥
James... You sir are the perfect Master of Ceremonies (MC)❤❤
Most channels: "We race in Mexico! Fastest street races ever!"
Terra channel: Intro with the Border Crossing.
Legit AF.
Take a shot every time this guy says, "little"...
🤣
Badass truck man!
Goals!
Beautiful build!
Crawdad or stoked
SUPERCHARGE IT! Too many pre-runners and race trucks are LS based. Kinda tired of seeing it. Get the URDUSA supercharger kit and go to town!
Ayyyee puro Chicali 😤
that’s smart getting work done in Mexico. 😂 half the price and great quality , while supporting the raza hell yea 🤙❤
This might be the first time I’ve seen an automotive UA-camr actually go to Mexico 🤣
Awesome Tacoma & it looks really usable (although I'm still in the dreaming & planning stages of a prerunner). I really appreciate the cool videos to help stear me in the right direction & I'm really digging the 4X4 trucks that you've been featuring. Oh yeah, my vote is for a super charger & not to be a suck up but every day you release a new video, is a good day for me!
I love the interviewer. You are very professional in my opinion. And I love this 2nd gen. Very clean and its owner is very humble.
Love seeing Tacoma’s!
Supercharger! Really good looking truck - nice build!
This is a really inspiring build for me.. I bought a brand new 3rd gen Tacoma shortly after getting into tinkering around with off road trucks, and for me the snowball effect was more than just with my truck.. it took over my whole life and now I want to be a fabricator. I’ve been all over the place mentally since owning the rig because I’ve been misguided and given the wrong advice so many times over it’s hard to even put into words.. Finally after a few years of BS, and many many thousands of dollars spent going wrong directions, I at least now know what I want to build and this is very close to what I’m going for. Prerunner-ish, but retain 4wd, and set the rig up as sort of a hybrid between a go fast truck and a go slow truck. I want to hit jumps but also be able to crawl. I live alone out in the mountains in Alaska and every single thing I know is self taught from internet knowledge and trial and error… I would love to link up with other Tacoma people and discuss builds.
An extremely sweetheart of a Tacoma!!! Loved your interview sir.
Thats rightttt!!! Puro Mexicali
in the process of doing this kinda set up for a gx, Loving the yota vids guys. Great vid
One thing nobody is talking about is the 4.7 v8 that is easier than a LS motor. 2005+ tundra motor bolts up to stock trans and transfer case. Plus you can boost that motor too
Hands down LS SWAP❤ I went Magnuson and made a huge mistake. Must less HP and ended up costing more!
Yep, Blower the 4.0 V6 is a Tough Motor , plus you want to keep all the HVAC , and no worries / stopping in the soft stuff you got low range , Dependable All Conditions IMO is Better Especially for a Daily
I have a black '09 DCLB. So wanna make mine like this. Truly amazing. Big Ivan Stewart fanboy also
welcome to my town, glad you guys made it
I’m inspired ! I got a taco prerunner last spring made in Mexico. Let’s go. Waiting for my AMC stock to short squeeze for this project, lol.
Sick truck! Awesome that you guys went all the way to Mexico. I'm curious..how did he do convert the emergency brake from the floor type to a handle up top? That looks awesome!
People really should yell at you sir. I love you.
had the pleasure to talk to Bryan today and he is a super nice guy
That's a gorgeous prerunner
Nice!
Tyre pressure depends on how much sidewall you have. The more sidewall, the lower the pressure you can go and still have a safe level of force holding the bead against the rim. Also depends on how much of a inner bead hump the rims have and how tight the tyre bead is on the rim.
I ran 8psi all day in my 31's on my suzuki x90 and drive the crap out of it. Drifting, ralleying, rock hopping, cornering hitting booms and woops and haven't popped a bead. Also run 8psi in 37's on my 76 F250 highboy.
Love the truck now I know how I want to do the inside of my tundra. Super charge it with trd. Pass smog and daily drive in ca .
I've got a 4 wheel drive Tacoma with camburg arms. I run 10 in the dunes and down to 3 in the snow
Great super clean Toyota. Deffenitly super charge n let it be
Such a badass truck
Supercharge for sure. 10-12 psi w/ method bead grip wheels on a 1500 silverado for me .
solid music selection during the B roll clips
I wish I had 4x4 lol. My Tacoma has a spring under and pulls a solid 16” in the rear. I wish it had more power, but it’s fine. For my tire PSI I drop to 18 then go down from there. 35s and E rated are pretty stiff for our mid sized trucks.
I just picked up my 23 Tacoma trd Offroad last week.
i do 10-12psi rear and 15psi front when i hit pismo midtravel leafsprung ranger open diff. just make sure to have that spare lol
Guys! You really need to share with us that blue Chevy on the back!!!
I go 15psi in pismo i do just fine hit everything.. 18’tacoma offroad
i run 15 in the front and 12 in the rear, and ive never had an issue on the dunes!
I drive a 2018 tacoma and go to the sonora desert I air down to 8psi, I also do run true beadlock wheels on it tho. Throw 4LO on and it handles like a beauty deep in the desert.
Sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
I air down to 5 psi on the crawler, and 15 on the Bronco. But it depends on what I'm doing. Super charger would be nice. But LS is easy to do with all the aftermarket support.
Supercharge it. I run 8psi in the front and 6 in the rear at silver lake sand dunes with a 4wd ttb 4-linked f-150. Only issue I’ve had was with one tire multiple times, I think it was defective. No issues with the other tires.
Keep it Toyota, supercharge it!
Arriba mi Chicalie!
The Toyota owner has such a great attitude
33s on my taco, 8-10psi at silver lake. send it!
Agree supercharge especially with that 4.0 engine
Run my tundra on 37 at 15 psi at dumont. Does pretty good
Supercharge it. Do internals if needed. Be perfect setup and somn more unique. Dope ass truck.
Supercharge!
you guys should visiti, brs in Ensenada its a lot of cool shops in baja whit carros chingones
Supercharge Only! Stay Yota!
supercharge itttttttt
toyota forever
Oralé, CHIKALI 🤙 !!
How low psi would you go without beadlock? 15psi?
7:45 "Look at meeee...Please look at meeee" lol we all know those type of people..
Keep the V6 and Supercharge it.. being 4wd its already front heavy.. adding an LS will just make the truck way too unbalanced.. If you go the supercharger route, go with a centrifugal from Pro Charger, as they make the most power. Also running an X-pipe to dual out setup will help the exhaust not sound like absolute $hit. Btw I love this truck and the practicality approach to this build.
I think keeping that motor and boosting it is the way to go. If it's still not enough, build the motor a bit. It's hard to beatthe ls sound but I'd keep the 6 cylinder for that truck.
James your spanish is very well!!!
Truck is salvage! Nice build. Supercharge it. What’s shops name in MCAll?
Supercharge it !!!
Supercharge it!!
Pretty dope that they are able to have those trucks and be part of the scene i have a few friends in Guadalajara that aren't able to have trucks like that cause the cartels will steal them ( ex: the cartel stole their FJ)...they have a built tj out there that they Dont pull out the drive way cause theyre scared that itll get stolen
dream build
12-13 psi for my xj rock crawling. Haven't popped a bead yet
Is there a problem or a benefit with the bumps stops hitting on the suspension unextended?
If you don't mind all your up travel being bumpstop travel. I'd shorten the travel on the stops so you aren't riding around on them constantly. In close by the pivot like that on the lower arm it ratios out where you have a good bit of travel that's dampened by the bump instead of the last couple inches, like if it was on the top arm out closer to the wheel.
Supercharge it bro.. it’s clean already
We wanna see that explorer
Hope those two bars over the center of the dash never have any load going thru them or they’re gonna crush that cross bar
If you supercharge it, build the motor. I blew mine up way too fast to recommend it. No reason to go forced induction unless you’re going for 12+ psi of boost to get the power needed to move these heavy trucks. Ls gets my vote. @tcnpage
He should name that truck darth Vader 👍👍
What bedsides are those? That’s exactly what I’m looking for
🤙
Supercharge it!
Finally in Mexico & no footage “filmed in Mexico”??????? Daaaaang bro wth lol
why is it resting on the bumps at static height?
I noticed that too, good eye amigo !
The dude only has 3 in of up travel lol.
I was gunna say that to. He dailying his bumps lol
word
It’s not 3 inches at the wheel! The amount of travel the arm gets at the pivot point of chassis is not the same as the amount of travel at the end of the spindle or wheel. Think of it as a side ways triangle and the point of the triangle is the control arm bolts. The triangle opening gets larger the further you go out.
Come to TJ bro Tijuana 🇲🇽
Charge it amigo ;)
For good tacos come to Tijuana!!! And yeah supercharger it!!!!
I'm trying to find the shop: Jordon? Trophy Trucking?
I remember racing in Oklahoma 😳 ... I mean Mexico??? 🇲🇽
4.7 v8!
The Tacoma superchargers are... expensive for what you get.
Just LS is.
Only like $3k-$5k with the swap the engine the accessories it’s like $10k-30k for an ls swap
@@azzz..6 5k for 400 hp max maybe? Ls swaps with 500hp+ are not 10k-30k
@@ACEVES0737 yes they are lsx blocks can easily go for 10k+ just the block
@@azzz..6 LSX isn’t even a production engine it’s a performance GM block.... which sells for $3500 a complete ls3 can be had for $3000 all day...
Could anyone shed more light on the "short course" setup in a 2nd gen?? mount points, geometry and anything else?
It's all simple. Your making to much out of it.
Supercharge it and before I had beadlocks I would air down as low as 8 psi. Just wouldn't get to crazy on the skinny pedal.
I air down to 18 but I don’t have beadlocked wheels so I don’t want to risk it
Run cantilever suspension in the rear and you don’t have to dismantle your bed
suoercharge it !!!!!!
What’s up with that beautiful f100
Supercharged it
James, you gotta do something with the camera. Your vids are always blown out or too bright at times. I’m not a camera guy so I don’t know what it’s called but yeah.. love all the videos though man! Keep em coming!
I'm turning 16 next year and I want a prerunner. What should I get, a Toyota Tacoma or a Ford Ranger?
Depends on which you like the look of more like I want to turn one of the new colorados into a prerunner since I love the way it looks
@@kings_nemesis5995 I really like both. I don't know which one should be better for daily driving though.
i drop to 11 on non-beadlocks in the dunes
Ls it jajajaa you should brought a chevy insted off a toyota arriva mexicali❤️
Sc’it 🙌🏼
Go with the supercharger no LS
Supercharge it just need to build it with internals meant for boost. Stock Toyota’s do not like boost that you want to be reliable that are beat on
i whant to see a Honda CRV like this...
