Just came home the staff on Vista was lovely however when we arrived to our cabin the bathroom wad dirty and someone peed in the toilet and just left....the floor manage acted quickly and cleaned the bathroom....my boyfriend pop the question in the horizon restaurant we are so happy...tbh I'll cruise again with Vista again as long as the keep the bathroom clean

Carnival Vista seems like that ship out of the fleet. Guys burger joint and Blue Cantina for the mexican food and salsa...ooooooh yessssss....i like the camps on this ship too for the kids.
I cruised on the Carnival Breeze (which is very much like the Vista) three times, three different voyages and destinations. Everything was excellent, all three cruises. From the Vista video , I can see that the two ships are hard to tell apart, with very few differences. So, I am looking forward to spending a week on the Vista, next year (we go once a year). Nothing is perfect, but my times on the Breeze were close to it.
Hi Douglas, thanks for watching.The Carnival Breeze was one of the first new Carnival ships to have a more "understated" casual decor. The Dream Class ships (Carnival Dream, Magic & Breeze) also share many of the same deign elements with Vista and her sisters, like the large open Deck 5 Promenade, Ocean Plaza & Carnival WaterWorks.
We were on Harmony of the Seas and saw this ship docked in Cozumel. This Carnival looks okay, but Oasis class ships are the kings of the seas. Harmony (Oasis class), has more boroughs than NYC, and there is so much more to do and experience. Plus, the way it's designed, you'd never know there are 6000 plus passengers and 2400 crew. It's an amazing marvel of engineering. My favorite shows were the aqua theater performance and the ice skating performances, by former Olympic skaters.

Hi Bill, Thanks for watching. You are absolutely correct, Carnival has focused on larger rooms to accommodate more guests. In the near future, we can expect to see a new room category from Carnival designated for singles.
Regarding Majesty ship. We havecruised on Majesty also. It is an older ship. I don’t think you can compare it to a newer or larger ship. We also cruised on The Granduer. It was a whole lot different. We have cruised on carnival too. The Destiny. The food on the destiny was horrible. Breakfast was cold pancakes. Cheese trays, and not much variety on any thing else. Dinner was good. They helped out with our oldest who. Doesn’t have a variety of food he likes. Majesty food was ok. The staff everywhere was great on both ships. I think each ship is different and it is hard to compare them against each other

malik redding as far as kids, there’s not too many. You really gotta think about what time of year you’ll be going. During March, the spring breakers are cruising as well as during the summer.

For all of you thinking to spend 10k to go on a family cruise on this boat don’t do it. I just sent on a cruise in June of 2018 on this boat and although I had fun, it was very underwhelming and didn’t get what I expected. You go to four ports and your there max 8 hours, and including the two days at sea after the last port felt like we were trapped on the boat.the food was so so depending on where you ate, sone of the waiters were outstanding and some were just plain bad. I’d recommend an all inclusive resort as I’ve been to the DR outside of this cruise and spent in total 5k and did considerably more including excursions and in general you get more for what you pay. So if your thinking of young on this, stay away cuz it’s disappointing and pricey
Talking Cruise yes it was my first cruise, I felt we were very rushed at each port and instead of having 2 days at sea in the end of the cruise. That could have been spent at the ports, I felt the service was nothing special and at times the waiters forgot my food, and I ran out of things to do on the boat so my family and I were always at the casino. I just expected more and going to an all inclusive resort the year before didn’t help cuz my expectations were very high. Again I had fun but I’d never do it again
Hi Rm16, I'm sure those days at sea were necessary to travel back to your port of origin on time. What you have explained sounds like a typical cruise where you only get to sample the ports of call for a few hours. I'm sure you asked a lot of questions before taking your cruise and it seems whomever you booked your cruise with didn't properly manage your expectations and explain the differences from all inclusive resorts.
Talking Cruise I understand that we chose the cruise, I didn’t have a say so; it was a gift for graduating college. I get that those two full days at sea were to go back to our port but the times given at each port we’re kinda unfair bring we got to every port at 5 AM and we had to be back on the boat at 2 PM other than one of the islands where we got off at 1 PM and had to be back at 7. The difference imo from going to an all inclusive resort which I now prefer to a cruise is one, all food and drink are included and you have no drink limitation cap (not that we were getting drunk, but why did carnival include milk shakes and coffee on the alcoholic package which my parents didn’t even touch) nor are limited to food options as on the boat we had to pay extra depending on the restaurant that wasn’t included in our dining package. Two, on the cruise we were stuck to laying around 80-100 dollar excursions that were just tours of the island and laying around the beach for an hour and leaving. Compared to the resort I went to in Punta Cana, DR we paid 100$ for an excursion that included zip lining, dune buggies in the jungle, horseback riding, and exotic animal meet and greets (other excursions, swimming with dolphins, catamaran cruise to Sonoa island, and Speed boat). Lastly, the price comparison. In total at the all inclusive resort we paid 6,000 dollars which included 4 excursions, food, drink, and rooms. For the cruise we paid over 10,000 dollars and got poor service at the main dining Hall (I’m not kidding about this we would be stuck at the restaurant for 3-4 hours every night because our food was never brought to us fast), limited time at each destination, boring excursions, and overall just underwhelming. Again, I had fun and was a great experience being my first cruise but I wouldn’t do it again and the all inclusive resorts was a better fit and felt I got much more for my money.
@@NamesSimba After reading your initial comment and the responses, yes cruises and all inclusive resorts are totally different. It doesn't seem fair to really compare the two. They are in fact quite different vacations. With an all inclusive resort, you're stationary. You've got an a lot of time in one area. You get different perks with it, but you're also not getting as many opportunities to sample multiple nations in one trip. With a cruise, it's a voyage. We are contestantly moving. Port times may not be as long as you like, but you can be in Jamaica one day and Mexico the next. To me, that's much more valuable than to stay in one place the whole time. That's what I prefer. As far as just having a vacation based on frugality and how far my penny goes, I'm not that type of person as well. I mean, camping in your backyard is a hell of a lot cheaper than a cruise and the drinks are unlimited provided you'd picked them up from the store in advance. But, I'd rather cruise. 😎 I'm not judging your opinions. I'm just giving mine to other readers who may or may not have ever done resorts/cruises. We have done both and I like them both for what they are.
I have a daughter who will be 18 she will still be in high school i didnt see anything for age group. Will she be able to go to the 15-17 area? not sure if i want her hanging out with grown folks the whole time.
Hi Christie, thanks for watching. Unfortunately, the cruise lines are pretty strict about ages when it come to their kids and teen clubs. After 17, I guess they consider them to be adults. It is always difficult for 18-20 years old because they are too old for the clubs and too young for some of the other entertainment spaces, bars, night clubs etc. What I can suggest is to have your daughter try to make friends with guests in other areas of the ship. For example on the Carnival Vista, you'll always find teens of all ages at the WaterWorks slides, SkyCourse and SkyRide. I also suggest to speak with either the Cruise Director or one of his/her staff early in the cruise and ask for any suggestions. Perhaps if a good number of 18-20 years old are onboard they can create some special activities for them.
@@TalkingCruise my kids are 14 and 15. does this mean they will be split up? they have never been on a cruise before, and I was hoping they could hangout together.
Hi Gabe, thanks for watching. The official answer is yes. The Circle "C" club is for 12-14 years olds and once they turn 15 through 17, they join Club O2. You an ask once onboard if they are able to move them together (probably with the 15 year old joining the 14 year old in Circle C). My experience is that they tend not to deviate from the pre set age restrictions, but it is worth inquiring.

Are the movies playing in the imax theater on the same release schedule as regular theaters? We sail on Nov 12-18 and would love to catch "Justice League" during our cruise!!!!
Hi Roberto, thanks for watching. Yes, they do show first-run movies with same release dates as on land. Of course, they cannot show every film, but a highly anticipated film like Justice League, will most likely be the main attraction that week. As reference, during this past summer, they had "Spiderman Homecoming" as the feature while we were onboard and it had just been released. As you get closer to your sailing, check out John Heald's Facebook page, he is the brand ambassador for Carnival Cruise Line and he always posts movies that will be playing onboard Carnival ships.

Regarding Majesty ship. We havecruised on Majesty also. It is an older ship. I don’t think you can compare it to a newer or larger ship. We also cruised on The Granduer. It was a whole lot different. We have cruised on carnival too. The Destiny. The food on the destiny was horrible. Breakfast was cold pancakes. Cheese trays, and not much variety on any thing else. Dinner was good. They helped out with our oldest who. Doesn’t have a variety of food he likes. Majesty food was ok. The staff everywhere was great on both ships. I think each ship is different and it is hard to compare them against each other
Are there nightly shows in the theater?

Hi Mackie, thanks for watching. There are no rooms that can sleep 6 on Carnival Vista, the maximum occupancy for family rooms is 5 people. Your best bet would be to book connecting rooms. Connecting rooms are available in Interior, Ocean View and Balcony categories.

malik redding as far as kids, there’s not too many. You really gotta think about what time of year you’ll be going. During March, the spring breakers are cruising as well as during the summer.

Some updates on the Carnival Horizon are the Dr. Seuss themed WaterWorks, Guy Fieri's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse|Brewhouse, the new Bonsai Teppanyaki, as well as some new rooms being added.
For all of you thinking to spend 10k to go on a family cruise on this boat don’t do it. I just sent on a cruise in June of 2018 on this boat and although I had fun, it was very underwhelming and didn’t get what I expected. You go to four ports and your there max 8 hours, and including the two days at sea after the last port felt like we were trapped on the boat.the food was so so depending on where you ate, sone of the waiters were outstanding and some were just plain bad. I’d recommend an all inclusive resort as I’ve been to the DR outside of this cruise and spent in total 5k and did considerably more including excursions and in general you get more for what you pay. So if your thinking of young on this, stay away cuz it’s disappointing and pricey

Talking Cruise yes it was my first cruise, I felt we were very rushed at each port and instead of having 2 days at sea in the end of the cruise. That could have been spent at the ports, I felt the service was nothing special and at times the waiters forgot my food, and I ran out of things to do on the boat so my family and I were always at the casino. I just expected more and going to an all inclusive resort the year before didn’t help cuz my expectations were very high. Again I had fun but I’d never do it again
Hi Rm16, I'm sure those days at sea were necessary to travel back to your port of origin on time. What you have explained sounds like a typical cruise where you only get to sample the ports of call for a few hours. I'm sure you asked a lot of questions before taking your cruise and it seems whomever you booked your cruise with didn't properly manage your expectations and explain the differences from all inclusive resorts.
Talking Cruise I understand that we chose the cruise, I didn’t have a say so; it was a gift for graduating college. I get that those two full days at sea were to go back to our port but the times given at each port we’re kinda unfair bring we got to every port at 5 AM and we had to be back on the boat at 2 PM other than one of the islands where we got off at 1 PM and had to be back at 7. The difference imo from going to an all inclusive resort which I now prefer to a cruise is one, all food and drink are included and you have no drink limitation cap (not that we were getting drunk, but why did carnival include milk shakes and coffee on the alcoholic package which my parents didn’t even touch) nor are limited to food options as on the boat we had to pay extra depending on the restaurant that wasn’t included in our dining package. Two, on the cruise we were stuck to laying around 80-100 dollar excursions that were just tours of the island and laying around the beach for an hour and leaving. Compared to the resort I went to in Punta Cana, DR we paid 100$ for an excursion that included zip lining, dune buggies in the jungle, horseback riding, and exotic animal meet and greets (other excursions, swimming with dolphins, catamaran cruise to Sonoa island, and Speed boat). Lastly, the price comparison. In total at the all inclusive resort we paid 6,000 dollars which included 4 excursions, food, drink, and rooms. For the cruise we paid over 10,000 dollars and got poor service at the main dining Hall (I’m not kidding about this we would be stuck at the restaurant for 3-4 hours every night because our food was never brought to us fast), limited time at each destination, boring excursions, and overall just underwhelming. Again, I had fun and was a great experience being my first cruise but I wouldn’t do it again and the all inclusive resorts was a better fit and felt I got much more for my money.
@@NamesSimba After reading your initial comment and the responses, yes cruises and all inclusive resorts are totally different. It doesn't seem fair to really compare the two. They are in fact quite different vacations. With an all inclusive resort, you're stationary. You've got an a lot of time in one area. You get different perks with it, but you're also not getting as many opportunities to sample multiple nations in one trip. With a cruise, it's a voyage. We are contestantly moving. Port times may not be as long as you like, but you can be in Jamaica one day and Mexico the next. To me, that's much more valuable than to stay in one place the whole time. That's what I prefer. As far as just having a vacation based on frugality and how far my penny goes, I'm not that type of person as well. I mean, camping in your backyard is a hell of a lot cheaper than a cruise and the drinks are unlimited provided you'd picked them up from the store in advance. But, I'd rather cruise. 😎 I'm not judging your opinions. I'm just giving mine to other readers who may or may not have ever done resorts/cruises. We have done both and I like them both for what they are.

Hi Christie, thanks for watching. Unfortunately, the cruise lines are pretty strict about ages when it come to their kids and teen clubs. After 17, I guess they consider them to be adults. It is always difficult for 18-20 years old because they are too old for the clubs and too young for some of the other entertainment spaces, bars, night clubs etc. What I can suggest is to have your daughter try to make friends with guests in other areas of the ship. For example on the Carnival Vista, you'll always find teens of all ages at the WaterWorks slides, SkyCourse and SkyRide. I also suggest to speak with either the Cruise Director or one of his/her staff early in the cruise and ask for any suggestions. Perhaps if a good number of 18-20 years old are onboard they can create some special activities for them.

Hi Gabe, thanks for watching. The official answer is yes. The Circle "C" club is for 12-14 years olds and once they turn 15 through 17, they join Club O2. You an ask once onboard if they are able to move them together (probably with the 15 year old joining the 14 year old in Circle C). My experience is that they tend not to deviate from the pre set age restrictions, but it is worth inquiring.

Are the movies playing in the imax theater on the same release schedule as regular theaters? We sail on Nov 12-18 and would love to catch "Justice League" during our cruise!!!!
Hi Roberto, thanks for watching. Yes, they do show first-run movies with same release dates as on land. Of course, they cannot show every film, but a highly anticipated film like Justice League, will most likely be the main attraction that week. As reference, during this past summer, they had "Spiderman Homecoming" as the feature while we were onboard and it had just been released. As you get closer to your sailing, check out John Heald's Facebook page, he is the brand ambassador for Carnival Cruise Line and he always posts movies that will be playing onboard Carnival ships.
What new movies were available for imax
Hi, thanks for watching our video tour. They tend to have 1-2 new releases that coincide with land-based theaters. They also show some great documentaties. When I was onboard a few weeks ago, they were showing Spider-Man Homecoming 3D and Despicable Me 3.
I think we went on the very same cruise. Thats what they played while I was there too!
