    I was able to transfer files from my digital recorder to my computer. I don't know why the transfer feature just stopped. I was so worried that I would have to type transcripts without the ability to fast-forward and reverse the recordings. You're a lifesaver. Thank you so much!

      Hi Linda -
      If you go to the drive window, where you normally find your C drive, the recorder should show up there. If it doesn't, check all of your cable connections, turn the recorder on (some require this), and try different USB ports. If you have another computer, try it there, too. This will tell you if the problem is likely with the computer or the device.

      Hi. just double check if the wire is the right one. I had same problem and when I changed the wire it did work with no issues. Good luck...

    I have a digital recorder which I used one phone as a middle man & then moved it to a USB stick but I tried this on a different phone & I ignored the warnings & clicked the button & lost all recordings & recorder software on the digital recorder, so I have 2 or 3 digital recorders with no software at all. The digital recorder said the software was something called FAT32?! Is it a older Windows version? I want to use my android phone to use a audio app to enhance the recording. I am worried about what to use, is there a app or something to download which will work with all audio software?

    A warning: some older recorders are NOT mass-storage-capable (even if they have a USB port).

    how can you listen to the recorded file on your Mac? will itun recognize this file and is the recorded file is playable on iTunes?

      It depends upon which format you record in. I don't believe iTunes will recognize .DS2, so you'll probably need an Olympus or Philips application.

    From what I've heard, the playback sounds a little "tinny." Is there any way to enhance the recording, to make it sound more "live"?

      Hi David - Naturally, this will depend on the recorder you use--as well as the audio format. If you're using a recorder for something other than dictation (podcasting, live music, etc.), I recommend getting a pro audio mode. The recorders in this video (Olympus DS-7000 and DPM8000) are targeted to professional/heavy use dictation.
      Did I essentially answer your question?

    Hi , does this work on a mac?

    • @CertifiedeSupport
      @CertifiedeSupport  7 років тому

      Hi Bernice,
      Yes, it essentially works the same way on Mac. Instead of pressing Windows + E, you should see your recorder show up as a drive on your desktop. The icon usually looks like a white external hard drive. Double-click it and follow the same procedure.
      This drive can also be accessed from the Finder.
      Hope that helps!
