Need to invest in a RTT like this. Low profile. The woolies supper is my wife's favorite dish....just we make it in a cobb. Great video and enjoyed watching the sunset.
Love the LT 50 now add the ladder and mounting hardware like every single other RTT provider at no additional cost!!

Boots in the tent! Sacrilege! Looks amazing and definitely a RTT worth considering. Probably cost a small fortune in Australia though.

Hi guys, have the alu cab fitted to our FJ Cruiser with a 2" lift kit here is Aus, look fwd to every time we use it, from beach to bush its excellent. Just a fyi, it adds approx 2litres per hundred klm..

Love AluCab products and think this is the best RTT for Jimnys. That said…think the Jimny is just too small for a RTT. I opted for an OzTent RV3 for the Jimny. (Though have a AluCab canopy camper on my Ranger).
Lol. Not often I see a red head RSA. Cool! I’m getting one of your units for use in Canada even in winter just gonna run it way different. Use a -9c sleeping bag and keep it in the bucker (Ford Bronco). The first roof top I used was in Zimbabwe on an old Defender 90 and it worked well. But gotta say unfortunately RSA vehicles have gone down hill. Hope to see you in a few months for Digger driving. I’m taking my Bronco (a bucker) to RSA than Zim. Not sure about DRC but since I’m doing a run nothing is safe)))
Wow looks great looking Roof top tent you just need to put your awning back on so you can have some shade
it looks good but its still over the weight limit for the jimny roof cary capacity, and thats without the roof rails that you fit it too. so you will be uninsured . I love the idea but the jimny needs something lighter.

It is awesome fit for Jimny. That being said, paying almost 3k€ for tent is no way near entry level, for which this tent is supposed to be. But maybe once, at least I hope so :)

Eerste rooftop wat ek sien waarvan ek regtig hou.
Ek self sal aan beide kante agter, in die middel van die kant seil, 'n haak insit sodat ek die rek daar kan haak vir toe maak. Miskien 'n 2 de rek... Miskien is dit 'n overkill

There is one big problem, I’m pretty sure the legal roof carry weight from Suzuki is 30kg. This effects insurance and warranty
Hi there! We have done suspension upgrades to our Jimny to be able to carry more weight, as well as the roof mounting brackets that effectively support the weight. It is always up to the customer to ensure that their vehicle and mounting system are equipped to support any gear that they want to put on their vehicle.

How tall are you guys? Interested to know how the legroom would be for a 6'2 human!
6'2 might be a biiit snug! Jana is about 165cm and Simon is about 175cm - not the tallest of folks, but Jeremy slept comfortably in the LT-50 last week and he is about 188cm - he just had to sleep more diagonally, if that makes sense.

I have an old shape Jimny. 2009. How much weight can the Jim y cargo rails take? I'm a big boy and don't want to sleep a dent into my Jimny's roof. 😊
The Gen 3 Jimny roof rails are only rated to 27kg with the standard rails. You could replace the standard rails with solid metal mounts (Front Runner does this for the Gen 3) and then mount load bars to the metal brackets. The tent would then go onto the load bars. The Gen 3 is not as strong as the Gen 4, so it is best not to put anything on top of the tent, to keep the weight down as much as possible.

Ai tog die enigste ding wat ek nou niks geniet het nie, wat ook somne sad is, is laat ek nou eers die kanaal ondek het. Ek het die videos so geniet ek het almal vanaand klaar gekyk en soos ek se wat ek nou niks genietbnie is laat dit klaar is. Kan nie wag vi die volgende video nie veral as jybdie lift ens gaan doen. Die videos het my amper heeltemal oorheed om n Jimny te kry met Alu cab goedjies. Sal net nog wag en sien waar me julle op kom. Veral met die afdakkie wat weg is. Love die videos hoop om nog bitter baie te sien. Kan die tent dalk so bietjie langer gemaak word?

Would you mind sharing how tall you guys are? Curious if my feet would be touching in the wedge area being 6 feet tall?

We would say for anyone over 190cm the LT-50 might become a bit snug, and the gen 3-R might be a better solution.

Why don’t you have power at home? What is load sharing?
South Africa is currently in an energy crisis when it comes to electricity. This means our main power suppliers, Eskom, switches off our power in the country for two or more hours almost every day to avoid excessive load on the generating plants.

At the moment our Jimny is spending most of its time in our Fitment Centre so that our R&D team can create some awesome Jimny accessories!
Isn't the Jimny roof load capacity 30kg dynamic, even this tent is too heavy...
Hi there, we recommend suspension upgrades. Our Jimny underwent some upgrades to carry this much weight!
@@alu_cab a suspension upgrade does not necessarily change gvm, areas that legally can change gvm via an upgrade are few and far between, some states of Australia, maybe SA, none in the USA - and even if a customer is in an area where this is possible (rare) then it's more than simply upgrading suspension.
If the upgrade doesn't legally allow you to change the gvm on the door sticker then this is illegal, dangerous, and will void any insurance cover.
So... Where was this video recorded, and was the vehicle legal or not?
And don't you think this should be mentioned on a video with a Jimny, which in nearly all territories can not carry this weight legally?
