I live on the east coast in Nova Scotia and just took this board out the day after 15mm of freezing rain. It was the first time I was able to have fun on a day like this.
Love that music! Used it for one of my videos last year after I heard it on the Snowboard Pro Camp channel. There is some other music I've heard on SPC older videos but wasn't sure what the names were so hopefully I'll hear them again in yours! :)
Chris, if you can do us all a huge favor and tell Kevin to put the name of the musics used in this vid, a lot of us were asking but he never answered, thank you! :) ua-cam.com/video/0SnVzum_ZJw/v-deo.html
I had the same feeling when going all out with speed on that board. I've mostly been riding the westmark camber this year and during high speed runs it feels much more stable but as far as riding icey conditions the T Rice Pro take the W with the magna traction coming in very handy.
Great review just bought one for this upcoming season cant wait to get a feel for it this is my third season and I've been on a 15 to 20 year old sims board its heavy but hasn't let me down
Oh wow, you'll definitely notice a difference, it is slightly rocker dominant with the c2 profile. I grew up on camber boards and it took a couple days to to get used to, but I love it now, especially in the trees. Have fun shredding, won't be long now
Nice review Chris one little correction sintered base is harder than extrude base, soo sintered is more durable but the rest is on point, well done for your first review.... N-gen
hi I got new board the t-rice pro hp wide 164.5, didn't ride on it yet and I want to ask you about the size. I am 6.2 high and weight 91.5 kilograms my last board was 161 and I wanted to make sure that I made the right decision for the size what is your opinion? thanks for helping 🤓
Thanks for the review Chris! I hope that the season 2020/2021 is not already over. I am also interested in this board (2020 version). What size would you recommend? I am 6'25, 190-195lbs and size 10.5 boot.
Hey Chris, I wear a size 12 and don't run wide boards. Check out Burton's boots footprint reduction technology. They basically reduce the footprint one full size so you have less toe/heal drag.
hi guys. Im from swizerland and had the 2016 hp c2, in my opinion the board was sick when we talk about powder riding, not slipping and speeding, but what do you guys think about this board in the park? thanks for the answers and have a nice Ride!!
I've done many a park day on it, you can check old vids on my channel, and though I'm not a great park rider I really liked it, no major issues. There is at least one pro that rides it in the park and shreds, so that says something
Great one, Chris! I don't think you're ever returning to the Burton process. I'm sure this board will be solid in the park as well. Curious to see your opinion on that. Keep the good stuff coming
Thanks, solid video! Gratitude. I learned on a customx 162w, too small, then ride berzerker 167w, love it. Been looking for a twin, thinking about this exact board in a 164w. Then UA-cam feeds me your video. What a time to be alive. Also, check out donek riser plates. I have size 12 feet, and am an ex ski racer. They changed up my berzerker like you wouldn't believe for carving with my boot size. I have Ryan knapton to thank for that one. Expensive to Canada but worth every penny. Cheers.
Great Review Chris! Your Channel is growing in future, that content is so cool, good and thorough explanations without taking it too far with praises and so on. Do you think that board is also good for freeriding from top to bottom in heavy Terrain like Rocks etc.? I beIieve you will gain much more subscribers soon, wish you the best!👊🏼
Great review love the part where your chuckling over the board not being signed lol mind you travis rice might have something to say about you using his name on the board lol
Wonder why the edge doesn't go all the way around? That's a huge negative for me. I've had snowboard edges come out when they don't go all the way around.
Nearly all boards use two edge that are joined at the tip and tail so its actually not that different. The reason Mervin boards don't have the edge go right to the tip and tail is two fold. The first reason is obvious in that you don't turn using the tip and tail of your board so you don't need an edge there. Second is for repair reasons. On a traditional edge if you smash the tip or tail of your board into a tree for instance you have to pull out the steel edge, cut and epoxy the broken section then relay the edge which is a pain in the ass. If you don't have an edge there you can just cut out the broken section in minutes and the board is fine. Also smashing the edge in the tip can pop the edge out along other parts of the board so another plus there.
@@seags8975 that makes sense. I've had metal edge delam issues with edges that don't go around the circumference of the board so this scares me. Playing devil's advocate, I've also had rust issues with the tip/tail edges of my boards with full tip to tail edges. I think I'm going to go ahead and add the T Rice Pro to my quiver 🤘
Awesome video Chris! I like how well you explained all the details man, on point.
I loved it
That's high praise! Thanks TJ
He's been learning from the best 😂😉
Board Archive got some competition TJ 😂
@@markklee100 not competition, I would call it addition. Which is nice to have various views.
You seem a very calm, gentle man. Its a pleasure to watch your thoughtful review.
Thanks do much!
Wow! I really enjoyed your review, it gave me a really good sense of what this board is about. Thanks!
Once again Chris great job on the vid. One of my favorite channels, keep them vids coming .
Thanks so much

Not a true beginner but I'm not an expert. Do you recommend this board?
Hey man, I never comment on anything but I wanted to show support. You’re a dude!
Thank you for the comment! It's very much appreciated
Would love review on the thirtytwo jacket! Keep the amazing vids coming

i have to say this was a very user friendly review, is nice to see that for a change
Thanks dude!

Nice, I think we are on the same page with this one.
Same here! Getting a Donek for carving/speed ... still love this board for all round fun

Hi Chris! Have you ridden the Jones mountain twin? How would you compare the two?
I have not, it's on my list ginormous list of boards to try

Nice vid Chris well put together keep up the good work. 👍
Thanks Jason

Damn, look at you, Chris! What a well-produced product review. Hope to see more in the future. That was as good as any I've seen.

I have the button photons which have that but I would still have issues washing out
in your powder riding clips, do you have the stance set back or did you keep it centered?
Centered the whole time. It's been great for float, being a 'wide' helps a lot.

Burton = rock board, I think
You know, where I come from we use our rock boards for street riding too 😉 just saying.
what do you guys think of this board in the park?
Nice review man, could you compare this to TRS HP?

We have two! this is an amazing fix!
Would you recommend this board to a beginner at all or stay clear would you say?!
It wouldn't be a bad beginners board, a little stiff for sure but the hybrid profile makes it pretty easy to turn but it's still stable at speed
Chris Eyres thanks so much for the suggestion!
Great review Chris!

I should've gone to Jackson Hole and got him to sign it
Love the board. I agree the board starts to chatter around 50-60 mph
nice review, those multi contact points are really interesting. how about its influence on carving?
So far I really enjoyed the carving and I can tell there is more than I'm getting at the moment
Allows you to really set an edge. Also, never catch an edge. The technology really works.

Cool review Chris. Wondered bout this board. Nice board , jus not my style , don’t like the feeling of rocker between my feet
Thanks for the comment, the beauty is ever has a different opinion
I kinda want this board but I'm not sure if I'm ready for a new board.
No one is ever ready
So sick I love it
Hey man Nice video! Could u try nitro woodcarver and gives a review?

Chris is my long lost brother😛
Nice calm guy 🙃👍
Still not full edged and talking about Libtech bio beans top sheet it is a crap. It's soft as a butter.
You could get the Andrew Jeeves DWD board, its hard as a rock
better reviews than TJ!!!!
Haha, thanks
Not better, different. Both are great and I like them.
