Descending Ben Ledi - Mountain biking in The Trossachs

  • I made a solo trip to Ben Ledi as i wanted to avoid the hordes at the trail centres and ride something more natural with an amazing backdrop.
    It is pretty steep in places on the upper sections and quite intimidating as you're hiking up. However it all seem to fall into place on the way down. I'd had some bad luck recently with crashes and suffering a scourge of punctures so i was pretty reserved in my decent.

    Nice ride mate. Did you go up the fire road or straight up the front?

      TWO WHEEL FIX I did this as an out and back up the trail from the small car park along the river.

    Nice vid mate. How long dies it take to get to top? Can it be peddled or us it in foot?

      You can pedal parts but there is definitely a good bit of pushing/carrying involved.

    I wish I was actually good at mountain biking so I could do stuff like you. P.s. I've been up Ben ledi before and the view behind you is absolutely beautiful

      Mo Morrison Thanks Mo, i don't think I'm that good but I know I progressed. The view was incredible and everything had just turned green, spring was definitely taking place.
