@@mattttutttelol another cool foreshadowing detailing noticed was near the end it showed Jack as a kid and his face was on a gun which we both know he grows up to be a gunslinger just like his dad
Nice catch. Also Mary's on the money (pickpocket, gambling father), Blackwater has a water distortion, Micah has a skull/day of the dead face, Dutch is in the clouds holding a cross pose, Uncle is on the beer (alcoholic), Sadie's home is on fire (home robbed husband killed), Sean Magure's picture is burned (dies).
RDR2 Season 1, Episode 9: Blacklung's Last Ride In the climactic episode of Season 1, the gang continues to fracture; with his condition rapidly worsening, Arthur rides back to camp for a dramatic confrontation.
You know in all reality I could actually really see a Red Dead Redemption series on TV such as HBO or not it would probably be like right next to something what we would expect from Deadwood LOL

You know if they didn't make this show I would highly recommend Marco Beltrami to at least score for the first season LOL I love this work from 3:10 to Yuma ua-cam.com/video/0DZTP0z_gM8/v-deo.html
Jesus this is incredible, like honestly beyond words. Don't know if it's intentional but the way Jack's eyes are on the gun to me symbolises how his innocence and childhood were ripped away before he even had the chance to have them and how it's always been his destiny to don the way of the gun and avenge his father. Beautiful
Love the clever use of symbolism at 0:45 The Strange Man hovering above John and 0:54 the buck being the anchor of Arthur's morality that is retained from the original True Detective intro. *Impeccable work, this was truly a labor of love!*
Every time I watch this I catch something new. I just now noticed RDR1 version of John in Javier's smoke at 0:32. Fucking brilliant. So frustrating to see people ripping off this brilliant work, but the knockoffs are obviously inferior. You're so GOATed for this.
I wish I had the ability to edit my rdr2 playthrough enough to make an episodic series to make it look like a TV show from everything beginning with rdr2 to Jack Marston redeeming his father's death. I came here looking for a theme song to see if someone hadn't already created something and this was absolutely perfect. It went well beyond my expectations.
This is honestly the best thing on youtube I´ve ever watched, I loved True Detective and Rdr2 and I dont think you understand how good this is, masterpiece (I´m writing this after seeing the first ten seconds of the video and its already a masterpiece)
After numerous re-watches, here's my *Shot-by-shot Breakdown / Mise-en-Scene* 1. the Dishonourable cowboy logo is layered over micah's face for less than a second at 0:07 - superb job, it's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it detail 2. At 0:11, the background of John's face is the shack of Beecher's Hope - shows what he actually wants. 3. Going off my last point, Dutch's 'wants' are the wilderness - freedom from the civilization of America. 4. Hosea's wants are very similar at 0:17, we see a white outline of him (white = morality in the game) on his horse. It shows Hosea's personality as being raised in the mountains. 5. 0:20 we see a skull covered in blood, and in the top left, you can make out "Revenge is a fool's game" and "Vengeance is an idiot's game" in the bottom right - the skull in blood symbolises the cycle of violence 6. In the shot afterwards we see badass Arthur robbing someone, but what's layered over him are the images of Mary and the Wanted Poster. As Arthur says to her, he's a wanted man and anyone close to him is wanted too. It's no accident that poster takes up half the screen 7. Dutch with his arms stretched out, reminiscent of Christ because, as we know, Dutch takes on the role as a sort of saviour, taking in many strays into the gang. Also, Molly in the top right, barely visible - that's how Dutch sees her. The focus is on him, not on Molly or Charles (both seen as second-class citizens in 'civilized' America), showing that for all his talk, he is simply a narcissist. 8. 0:29 the water bubbles... the white in the background is a drowned person, and, in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it detail once again, in the top right, you'll see 'Guarma' written in white. Excellent little detail. I do like the idea of the man in white (again, morality) is good for one thing - dying. Sink or swim kind of world... also with the bubbles, further emphasizing the drowning? 9. 0:32 shows young Javier smoking, but more importantly, in the smoke, we see an older John Marston. Obviously hinting towards what is to come and, perhaps, showing that their friendship will go 'up in smoke'. 10. The eye shot at 0:34 may be my favourite, just because it's creative. I choose to believe that's the deer's eye from the Spirit-Animal sequences. And that look - that's from saving Micah, who says 'sons of Dutch, that makes us brothers'. It seems to show the burden of an outlaw on Arthur, and maybe... just an ounce of shame or regret? 11. 0:38 the money bags from the train heist at the end, the shot of the gang - it's more than you'd think at first. Sure, it's the gang and what they want - 'muhney'. BUT, it's also the two most important things to Arthur at the start of the game. And, perhaps most interestingly, it shows how Dutch sees the gang - each of them is a tool for money. 12. Uncle, beer bottles... yeah, that checks out. I do like the shot of them breaking - he does leave the gang, after all. 13. Lenny and 'A Quiet Time' dancing... perfection. 14. 0:44 The guitar with the gang - that's a clear homage to the scene it depicts, bringing Jack back. It's one of those moments where you see that the gang is actually a family. 15. 0:47 - that's gotta be the Mysterious Stranger/Strange Man. And he's clearly marking John for death there - absolutely brilliant wink at the audience. 16. 0:48 - we see the sketch on the map of Sadie's house along with a lone crucifix in the ground. Clearly her Jakey. The fire at the bottom is a reference to the opening chapter when Micah... well, does what Micah does best. We see some grass at the bottom which could be her moving on with the gang, or maybe even over to Texas? 17. I believe the man in the next shot is Agent Ross, with the smoke-billowing steam train. That's clearly emblematic of Civilization catching up to the gang. 18. Arthur with the stag... again, it's showing that, at heart, he IS an honourable person. With the fire... I'm not sure - maybe that's a hint to the 'go back for the money' ending? 19. Dutch and the dynamite - that's Dutch in a nutshell, isn't it? There's a long line of a spark and, suddenly, there's an indiscriminate explosion. 20. 1:02 is an amazing bit of foreshadowing - the revolver and Jack Marston. Obviously, we all know what happens when he's 19... 21. Ah, this next shot is amazing. Definitely a highlight - we see Arthur as we play him half the time - riding the horse, exploring - just a good-time-guy. Then, in a flash of *red* (nice) we see Arthur as we play him in the second half - the gun-toting killer. Sets up the conflict very nicely. Also, we can see Sadie shooting at Colm's hanging on the left... maybe setting up her side-story of hunting down the O'Driscolls? 22. 1:06 Swanson and Abigail... I think this is to do with how civilians handle this life. Swanson gets high, Abigail worries. But, more importantly, they're two of the only people to make it out of the gang. Also 2 that Arthur says goodbye to. 23. 1:08 Dutch and Arthur... perhaps the most front-and-centre relationship in the entire series. The Father and his Son. As for the camera, my interpretation is that there's how we see things - i.e. how we see Dutch. But that's not necessarily how it is. After all, we see Ross and Milton through the camera lens, showing that their perspective is different. Also, it could be something to do with wanted posters? Law and Robbery - two building blocks for America (hence the flag in the background). 24. 1:12 - Sean and the woods... he is buried in the woods, after all. But the fire - that's the Braithwaite manor, right? Good choice, since he says "I was born burning down country manors". 25. 1:15 - Just a really cool shot. That's almost certainly Arthur, and shows that everything "he does, he does out of a loyalty and a love" to the gang (Roger Clark at a convention I can't quite remember right now). 26. 1:17 - Bill Williamson blowing stuff up - that is his area of expertise, right? 27. 1:26 - lastly, Arthur and John. The two people that, despite all the bad they did, tried to find redemption. And, though it's not clear if they did, they died better men than they were in life. Absolutely stellar - 10/10, best intro, all the awards. I don't know the cowboy equivalent of a salute... I... tip my hat? Yeah, I tip my hat.
I want to add more on your number 1 point. Not only it shows Micah dishonored traits, but there's also a blood mark on Strawberry where the player first saw Micah's more blood-thirsty and unstable tendency.

Saw on reddit and twitter. This is amazing!
Thank you so much! :)
