Actually water is just the byproduct after the process is complete, it doesn’t store it. The car stores extremely flammable hydrogen in it’s tanks.

It already is. Sadly the infrastructure is lacking. That’s why everyone is going electric at the moment. Mercedes already sold these cars in California for 250$ a month in the b class model back in 2010

No because its dead wrong. It has a gas burning engine that uses hydrogen instead of gas . The alternator on the gas engine creates the energy to the batteries witch power the hybrid electric . The by product is from the hydrogen gas burning engine thats burning hydrogen instead of gas. hydrogen leaves no fumes only water dropplets. Hes so far off its sad. If a chemical reaction magically happened between hydrogen and oxygen dont you think our power plants would do that.

Filling up this bad boy can be a problem in many states. In CA, there are some water stations, but in rural country, people don’t even know what that shit is.

Well the water is literally chemically pure water, so the minerals you see in drinking water would have to be added in, but is a possibility if enough people wanted such a feature
There was some article that as for 2021 there were only around 40-50 something (don’t remember exactly) hydrogen stations for whole USA. It’s not better in the rest of the world. There are also some concerns about safety of those stations after several expolosions and leaks in the last 2 years.

Yeah, to bad in the end, it's still an electric car that uses 4x more electricity per mile to drive.
Good luck driving one and getting around. We already have a robust network of charging stations. Hydrogen on the other hand is not a viable method of passenger transport at this time. I can see the implications for cargo vehicles though.

Depending where you live, in my city it's honestly more convenient and faster for most people to charge their tesla, then to fill up their tank.

They can just add a Electric Charge panel to power those batteries, it will be Hybrid (Hydrogen + Electricity) Easy to charge where Hydrogen stations are not available.
What happens during a frontal collision accident or even a rear end accident? Considering the hydrogen is at great pressure isn't this a bomb on 4 wheels?
The mirai have a feature that vents the pressure when it gets damaged, you can read more about it if you search it up.

@@hassanjamal4212 the tanks have been thoroughly tested. Testing included shooting a full tank with a bullet, dropping the tank, putting the tank in flames, freezing the tank, and more. Not 1 person has been injured because of an explosion in a modern hydrogen car. Many people consider them safer than gas or battery powered vehicles. This is because gas is flammable, and stays where the accident occurred. Lithium cells in accidents are not exactly safe, as they cause chain reactions, which can cause the car to burn for hours.
Hydrogen based cars just use combustion to generate electricity, not a chemical reaction. When hydrogen combusts if produces water, which is being fed out using the exhaust

The tanks have proven to be pretty safe but yeah they have horrible efficiency compared to electric cars because of the hydrogen steps.

It only takes an hour to fill that tank and costs $100. Why, because the stations only hold enough gas to fill 40 cars, the hose freezes to the side of the car and there is going to be a line at the only station that is open.
