The fuel cell concept is really interesting and I think in time these will replace pure electrics. The only big problems are long term hydrogen storage and lack of infrastructure. Producing hydrogen is no more complex than refining crude oil into gasoline. Plus hydrogen burns much cleaner.
Agreed, this is the future. But, it won't happen overnight. Needs the infrastructure which seems a good 3-7 years out here in the good old U.S.A. China is moving full steam ahead with hydrogen vehicles so, in due time hydrogen will win...eventually.
You aren't burning hydrogen in a fuel cell. You are taking the electrons from the hydrogen and using them to power the motor and battery. Then as they return, the now ionized hydrogen combines with atmospheric oxygen to form water.
Hydrogen doesn't burn in this process and since whole concept of EVs and Hydrogen is about to save environment, There is No comparison which one is safer for environment! Hydrogen is billion times better than Lithium.
@@dilshab1075 To be fair, this is vs the lack of electric chargers (which is less of an issue but still an issue) AND the additional reliance on an outdated power grid. We're still nowhere near the electricity capacity to be adding millions upon millions of EVs. Using an additional power source will always be better than everything needing the same power.
Wow. You should consider reusing existing infrastructure for petrol, diesel pipelines for hydrogen transport. Give ice car and ice bike owners hydrogen conversion kits once this infra conversion is done. Come to India and launch your fuel cell cars in indian market too. Give the driver the drinking water option in the car itself and automatically remove the remaining water in the car through a different nozzle in the same line back at the filling station itself through simultaneous reverse water flow to the filling station while main fuel pumping occurs. Notify the user about the flow in the info cluster.
I heard a group of local 5th graders recently made a fully functioning portable hydrogen generator that works with one of these Mirais - Surprised they arent more popular being as efficient as they are
Hi, there. You have reached Toyota USA, and we are only able to handle inquiries for vehicles being sold within the United States. We recommend contacting your local distributor for further assistance, please visit toyota-global.com/select_region/ to locate your nearest distributor. 😀 👍
#Mirai #HydrogenCar #Toyota Please toyota make more hydrogen stations. I understand that you are a car company. but look at tesla, their supercharger is actually what make their product excel compare to other manufacture. I love driving Mirai but it is missing infrastructure where i live. The car drive great but missing the performance factor. ie 500 miles on a tank (see prius, they have 640miles per tank). 182hp on a heavy car is slow.. i am sure toyota can make it 300hp / awd.
I live on other side of country, had no idea this was mainstream now. The video is not exactly reassuring however, even the actress looked nervous during the refueling : ( But maybe they'll figure this out?
Toyota, i believe that hydrogen is future of cars, but you should make your own hydrogen too, makes your own refueling station too like tesla does, and make it cheaper cars to attract more buyers. You should make it first at bigger country such as china, india, malaysia, thailand and indonesia, it's too much combustion car and trucks that made these country's air so bad. I am indonesian, and you know that your car is the biggest one in my country. You can help us by making such as hydrogen Avanza, the majority of toyota cars in my country.
Not sure you know what you are talking about. Because it costs 65$ to fill and lasts me longer than my gas car did. I was getting gas 2 times a week at $65 each time.
Ok I’m Done Supporting Toyota This Is Disgusting SIJH Foundation Will Be Doing Some Extra Work To Save Gas Cars Now YOU CANT GET RID OF GAS CARS IF YOU TAKE THEM I GO TOO🖕

Lack of hydrogen station is the main Hassel

how often is the handle frozen upon completing the refueling?
Pretty much every time, but it doesn’t cause problems with using
I’ve only experienced it like 4 times in the last three years.
This has potential but the lack of available stations breaks its success
I mean obviously that's going to improve in a few years, here in LA there is so many already, atleast where I live.
same thing when gasoline cars, electric cars at first. you have to start small
Needs more Hydrogen Infrastructure for it to work , maybe produce hydrogen close to a hydrogen station might be convenient.
Scotland Watching 🏴🥃🥃🇺🇸
Far better than electric cars
I want to hug your cars, toyota🤗❤🤗
@Capsized Cloud Doesn't mean they can't like Toyota
Are these only available in California and parts of Canada? Or are they available on the east coast as well
Hi, Travis! Toyota Mirai is currently available in California only.
@@toyotausawill Mirai ever come to the east coast? This is so cool and I’d love to own one
If they need to crack American market
They need to bring it in the budget of middle class customer's
Buy it used

very good advices toyota team.

@@toyotausa Hey, Toyota! When are you going to make your “Let’s Go Places” font open-source?
So is hydrogen fuel in liquid form or gas form?
Liquid, mate.

In my country we don't have a hydrogen station is there any other ways to full it?

Hey Toyota, I would be happy to accept a free Hydrogen vehicle in San Diego!
Craig Westbrook Hydrogen on demand real tech is supressed !
What is H70M?
Hi, there. A hydrogen station with a H70 dispenser is the preferred fueling for the Toyota Mirai, because it provides a full fill.
@@toyotausa : There is stations that have H70 & H70M. What is the difference?
@@protocol13H70M is a future thing for True Zero members they haven't released it yet i think.
Main issue is availability of resource power.
Hydrogen will beat electric
The only Problem is infrastructure
UNTIL ELECTRIC BEATS ALL BECAUSE I WILL BUY A FULLY LOADED F150 LIGHTNING PLATINUM.
Agreed, eventually
@Capsized Cloud 😂, that's the only response needed for that.
Absolutely
Nice, but how much does hydrogen cost and how far can you go on a full tank?
It’s Like 75 Miles Per gallon
Wow.
Fuel is under 700 bar in tank of this car?! What will happen in case of crush??? I doubt it's safe.
They a very strong tanks. Toyota needed to hit it with 2 50 cal bullets in the same spot to cause a leak.
Bulletpoof fueltank
Just as EVs find resistance from combustion engine camp, H gets trashed from both combustion engine and EV camps. 😅
YES, it's the future before electric models.

absolute scam of a car PLEASE NEVER GET THIS CAR - you've been warned...
just bought it lol can you say more?
Just ask Kamala Harris how to refuel.
More expensive than gasoline several times over
