I repeatedly here " Mathe Malaya dwaja" rendered by Krishnan. His style of singing in slow pace by analysing the lines in the lyrics helps us to understand the Kriti and enjoy. It is very rare to find such style. God bless him

8 years after the rendition, three after original comment and 2 years after three replies I agree with all of them. She is going to bear the heavy load of representing in future the T M Krishna tradition of singing, just like the students of Semmangudi, Chembai, Araiyakudi, GNB, and Pinakapani and other great singers of the past but I have no doubt that one day she will be a top class female artist. As for T M Krishna, he is a megastar of this century all by himself currently in 2023. I am glad I am around to make these humble observations.

Outstanding exposition by T M Krishna, one of my all time favourite singers. He has distilled the essence of Khamas, has got fully involved in the kriti body, mind and soul. He has great screen presence, is a great performer, highly knowledgeable and executes flawlessly, is a perfectionist.
The raga and the song come alive when TMK sings. There is a magic in his rendering!
Go along with TMK to another plane of existence .Participate in the experience of him using his Gift of creativity.Watch the myriad expressions in his face and his gestures. He is not in his body of flesh and blood ..floating in sheer ecstacy..The clear shift in his stance at the end happens when he comes down to the present time..And the accompanying instruments ..help you hover in the space. Is there any among the current musicians who sing like TMK - in such vilambith time scale? He brings out the flavour of the raaga like a slow cooked food.
Such vidwat, sense of peace in music... this is what Purandaradasa meant when he sang "tala melagalittu prema villadha gana, nemmadhi illadha gana, kelano hari taleno".. I wish for many decades of such devine muisc for TMK and nothing else..
