Hello fellow guitar enthusiasts, i just purchased a 1970s kay 550 acoustic guitar, its all there minus the twin humming bird pick guards, i was going to make two of my own, just plain black though or something similar. Just have no clue as to where to purchase the material

Using that piece of metal to get under the pickguard would terrify me. I'm thinking dental floss might be better.
I used dental floss, naphtha, and a palette knife to remove my hummingbird pickguard. The key is to slow.. repeat.. go slow.
