I've been searching the web trying to see what happens with this light on quick follow up shots. Thank you for covering that! I would definitely prefer a shorter blink time, but I might try a couple anyways
I tried mine out yesterday at 100 yards with standard velocity ammo on a half inch thick 12"x12" plate. Every now and then it wouldn't pick up and impact but for shooting 308 at 1000 yards it should be fine

the problem with the big plate is, its not free hanging, so its vibrate from some of those hits.... you need to suspend it so it can move
Yea I realize that. I would hang a plate if I was going to utilize the flash bang at farther distance

Yea you can see that hitting it while it’s blinking renews the flashing , but it would be nice if the flashing faded away just a like bit faster.
