Some followers of Ataturk is inside TRT. While Deobandi ideology is no way differ than Sultan Fateh. Despite economic hardships, Deobandi scholars were keep sending money to Turkish khilafah just to show solidarity and always keep praying for caliph.

There has been an oversight of a few substantial facts and there is great deal of misconception in this report which is hard to understand what is the agenda behind this report. The term "Deobandi movement" does make any sense, Dar-ul-Uloom Deoband or The House of Knowledge of Deoband, it is not a movement, it is a University of Islamic Knowledge based on the earliest standard interpretation of Quran, Hadith and mostly Hanafi Fiq, it's fairly equivalent to Oxford or Cambridge, you wouldn't call the the Oxford or Cambridge Movement where the capitalism is taught mostly. Some students of Deoband choosing the path of armed resistance against the western colonialism or occupation has nothing to do with the core ideology of Dar-ul-Uloom Deoband. The core ideology of Deoband Jame'a is only the teachings of Islamic Knowledge based on the earliest Islamic traditions.

After the failed armed uprising of the Indian Muslims in 1857 against the Colonial British Army, Indian Muslims set up The Deobandi School as an alternative to armed/violent struggle. It's focus was to struggle against foreign influences via ideology and creed. Many Deobandi scholars took part and contributed to Indian democracy. Gandhi was very close to some of them. The leader of the Taliban, Mullah Omar, initially was a scholar teaching at his school, and it was only on the demand of the local population who were fed up of local mafias, that he took up arms. It had nothing to do with Deobandi ideology.

Deobandi movement was the movement from amongst the muslims of the British India to purify them from innovation and shirk (associating others with Allah in worship).They taught the true Islam and the hanafi fiqh.Deobandi movement is similar to the salafi movement started by Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab in the Arabian peninsula.Scholars from the deobandi schools have done a lot to spread the true Islamic faith.May Allah have mercy on them.
Deobandi school of thought is famous in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India and other western countries.

I don't think the video ignore that fact. There is a statement about it. It just didn't emphasize it because it's about Taliban ideology origin. Besides, Taliban also liberate Afghanistan while at the same time suppress their people. Muslims living during the Prophet pbuh time has more freedom and tolerance towards each other. They are more obsess in competing with each other in doing good deeds rather than controling each other.

Madrasas run on their money, local people are their followers. So, Ulama has very title space to perform. Specially, after separation from pakistan islamic political groups are not seen favourably by mass people. Pakistan was created in the name of islam though there was nothing related to islamic in law and economy in pakistan state. There was discrimination and autocratic rules of pakistani army. Even they tried to legeitimize all those things in the name of islam. After the war of 1971, People become averse to the idea of having politics anything to do with religion. People consciously or subconsciously began to criticize the political Islam. Though people are practising islam in their daily life, secular narratives become dominant in politics. The space for islamic politics began to shrink rapidly. It turned worse with beginning of American war against terrorism. Recently, the situation turned worst. India and it's detective branches are influencing the government from highest level of authority many prominent media are working with them hand in hand. India's one of the main work is anti islamic activities. So, most of the ulema are in jail, some died in there. Those who are outside are keeping their mouth shut to keep their life. There are also occasional special forces operations in the name of crackdown against terrorism. I think, you can understand the situation in Bangladesh. Of course Ulema Deoband have to take the responsibility for failing to address the whole thing in the last fifty years.

Thank you for asking the question, I'm sure many people were also curious, so I have decided to answer.
It is because when you are memorizing Qur'an our mind (especially children's) drift away and get distracted. Because in hifz you tend to repeat each verse many many times (like ten or so) so when you repeat verses, a child might get distracted by things like playing, hunger, home, etc so the teachers teach them to move like how you saw so they spend all their energy on moving forwards/backwards instead of thinking about other things.
